Searching Through the forums, I've seen this anime is referred as a good one... but not much is said about it.

I know it's quite old, since it hit the 20 years mark this year.

However I wanted to start this thread to let some people have the chance to discover it.
On the bonus side, the entire TV series is available with seeds... quite remarkable.
You can get the OVAs and the first movie, the second one lacking seeders.

How did I discover it?
In france, in my prime teenage years. It was on TV with other series like Maison Ikkoku, Ranma, Saint Seya, DragonBall and so on.

Although I was a male, I was really into this series, It caught me quickly... in fact I have to say it's Madoka who got me ;)

Sadly, I never had the luck to finish the series back in time. So having the luck to get it
and go back in time was very refreshing... although this wasn't totally what I was waiting for.
Why? because I discovered it in my native language... and for once, I think the french dub was better than the original one... Not because the Japanese one isn't good. Rather because it's a lot easier to understand an atmopshere in you native language.
And probably also because I remember that the French version was a lot Lighter... or maybe it's just me, being quite older, who emphasizes the darker parts you can find...

I won't talk about the animation, it's got it"s age, and wasn't one of the best of the time. But it's watchable. You just have to deal with the few first eps where it's sometimes quite
bad (in some scenes and chara drawing)
Music is fine.
Love triangle: lovely.
The main problem I had is this Kyosuke always shouting Madoka's name, it's quite boring
to have that all the time. So I had to split my watching in several weeks, no more that 5 or so eps per week.

Have fun

Edit 1
I've seen everything except the pilot yet (bad quality) and I'm very pleased with it.
It was very refreshing, although a bit long at first.
The two movies are reallu worth watching and give deph to the series, making the story complete... and the naration of kasuga's life 'plausible' if you forget magics ;)

I'm so happy I had the luck to watch it again, watch the eps I missed and finish it.

This series really touched me deep inside, I'm not able to let it finish like that...
I've not been that emotive for years. I wonder if it's because it took me back in time in similar situations... or at least emotion sets.

well, forgot to give the torrents:

The complete show in 48 eps:

the pilot:
http://www.mininova.org/tor/595278
you should see that one after the whole series, quality is quite bad (vhs encode)
and gives too much hints and spoilers for the series.

The 8 OAVs.

Movie 1
http://www.mininova.org/tor/447752
Movie 2
http://www.mininova.org/tor/532545

It seems there's a "Tanabata special" of 40 minutes.
It seems there's also a 49th ep, or rather a flashback on the whole series.
If you find any of these two, please share.

Another torrent with both movies, quality seems slightly better but movie 2 is split in two parts:

While wandering around this universe, I found a transcript from a radio show (recorded on one music CD of the show)... french only. There's also a script from an ep writen by the author... that wasn't animated it seems.

Now I'll try to find the Third Shin KOR novel, that has not been animated (I and II are the movies)

I really enjoyed the second movies... and even more its end.

I hope some of you will enjoy all of this as much as I did.

I may even rewatch everything from the begining, try to understand more of it.
I may even try french versions...
