You know the scenario. At work. Bored out of your mind. Desperately surfing the web for something to entertain you without appearing totally unproductive. Computer monitor in a position where many people can see.

A quick search through this forum had a "Bored?" thread but with people drawing random images via MS Paint

I'd like to see what websites you guys visit to help you through your workday. Lord knows, maybe I'll be getting tired of the sites I visit pretty soon. Hopefully this'll turn into a resource for those who'll be seeking employment in the future to use when they find themselves in a similar situation. I'll post a few to start off. Include a short blurb of the type of content it offers.

http://www.digg.com
One of those tech-y user-modded content sites. I like it because the topics are extremely diverse and it points you to tons of interesting articles (ie, lots of reading material = passing time = good).

Not typically the type to follow celebrity gossip but I'm a sucker for sarcastic-guy-commentary/perspective. Is that why I keep hanging around GW? ;)

http://www.cuteoverload.com
Pictures of uber-cute animals. No seriously. It often crosses the threshold of ridiculous-ness and makes my head explode. Metaphorically.

That helped pass the time.

I don't honestly think I can get away with the sites I visit to pass time in class.

I will mention that tampering with the filters on school computers is a lot of fun ;)

Yep. I'm sure most classrooms will have that lemon party site on lock down.

I find http://www.hardocp.com/ very interesting - if you continue to scroll down there's links to articles daily and they always seem to be worth a read. It's one of the few sites not blocked at my work - Gotwoot is blocked, btw, in case you were wondering.
