I Heart this anime. The Hard Rock/Heavy Metal, fight/battle music. So rare to have an anime to watch where the music is actually exciting and not some slow boring music for a fight scene. :P

I enjoyed the first episode and I hope there's many more. :)

Crap, n/m it's a 6 OVA, that sucks. :(

" In the land of Foreland a coup de tat has occurred and the princess, after witnessing the death of the King, is on the run. She meets with battle-hungry bounty hunter Fallis, and with a twist of fate they both switch souls, making Alita the maid of the now princess Falis. Named for her bravery in confronting the enemy as ‘Murder Princess’, Falis must continue to be the princess as well as confronting any new opponent that comes to her way." -ANN

Now that Geass is over for a while, gg seemed to find something else to occupy their spare time with:

Episode 1 - gg (http://tsukitenshin.net/gg/%5Bgg%5D_Murder_Princess_01_%5BDE9FCBEA%5D.mkv.tor rent)

Edit: It was an entertaining first episode. The description and even just the name were quite good indications of the level of deepness that was to be expected of this series, and indeed based on this first episode it seems like a purposefully light series. It worked really well.

But damn that land has a dangerous countryside...

This one looks fun, I wouldn't have expected her to take over as princess. Usually in body switch situations the person desperately tries to get their old bod back, but this method seems much more entertaining. I can't wait to see how much craziness the crude and violent Falis will manage to stir up amoung the nobility of this country, not to mention her two lackies.

Maybe there was a problem with the copy/paste.
But it's "coup d'état", at least if we're dealing with the french word for it ;)

It looks like CrystalNova decided to broaden their prospects beyond Aria:

Episode 1 - CrystalNova (http://tracker.crystalnova.net/torrents/%5BCrystalNova%5DMurder_Princess_OVA_-_Vol_1_(H264_Vorbis)%5BHQ%5D%5B7C2F7480%5D.mkv.tor rent)
Episode 1 LQ - CrystalNova (http://tracker.crystalnova.net/torrents/%5BCrystalNova%5DMurder_Princess_OVA_-_Vol_1_(H264_LameCBR)%5BLQ%5D%5B39F44E23%5D.mkv.to rrent)

They released two versions, the normal being 200MB (although they call it HQ, but it's standard, rather), and the LQ 116MB for those desiring smaller downloads. Both in h264 in mkv containers. gg's version was 364MB, which, I must say, was a bit on the larger than necessary side really, considering it had just a standard resolution. Still, knowing CrystalNova, I might find it hard to wait for their subs. Although gg wasn't that fast all the time with Geass, so who knows.

You will be sorely disappointed if you think anime sites uphold outstanding standards in spelling and grammar. While Animenfo is in its totally own league with barely understandable descriptions, it's not totally uncommon for ANN either to have texts that somehow avoided their proofreading efforts. And when I quote something, I generally try not to alter the content, for good or for bad.

I just replied that because the words were too altered and it was confusing when I first read it.
And I understand your point for quotes (I just forgot this possibility)

If leaving out the apostrophes made it too altered and confusing, then you have a weak comprehension for the english language.

According to CrystalNova it's an episode per month. So, I guess a month from now, or so.

The second OAV was not as good as the first. :/ Still worth watching.

Even though it left me confused about Farith.

Princess Alita was changed to Akita? Even though the name being pronounced sounds like Alita. :/ Maybe a subber's fault there.

No, the manga has the english spelling of Alita as Akita on a character profile page, despite the dialogue of the manga using Alita. They are the "official" spellings, but they are as poorly translated by the creators as the engrish in Nanoha.

Finally, some developement!! :P

I like this one.

Yeah. But I don't think it was fitting for the character of the Princess to drop her weapons when asked. I was fully expecting she would just smile and attack instead. But now she actually got her ass kicked and was saved by a third party. Very sad.

I mean, honestly, who would drop her weapon in a situation like that? You are facing people who only desire to kill you. Dropping your weapons means you will get killed along with the hostage (whose death would be a question mark in any case, more so than yours). That's not actually something that would help anything.

At first I thought her brother was the suit of armor, but now after seeing the ending to this ep I'm sure of it.

hmm her brother seems kind of strong, stronger than the main character from what i see. Don't like when a person is stronger than the main character T_T

Interesting developments, though some of them were predictable some of them were genuine surprises to me.

Let's post this version here as well...
Episode 4 - CrystalNova (http://tracker.crystalnova.net/torrents/%5BCrystalNova%5DMurder_Princess_OVA_-_Vol_4_(H264_Vorbis)%5BHQ%5D%5BD7CEBC55%5D.mkv.tor rent)

When the crazy scientist was killed, I expected the owner of the blade to be the Prince. But then when the suit of armor remained silent all the time, I began to think it was some animated thing after all. But then it turned out it was the Prince after all. Still, it was nice development. I actually thouught the Prince (and those behind him) would let the fake Princess out of the castle and town before ambushing her. But I guess they were a bit hasty...

That was a weird twist to the story in my opinion, I enjoyed it nonetheless.

Can't wait for the final OAV. :)

I'm going to archive CrystalNova's (http://tracker.crystalnova.net/) sub (the HQ version). Quality wise they are one of the best groups around. Subbing speed is not stellar, though.

That ending made very little sense, but it wasn't really unexpected. Doomsday/miracle machines always seem to have off switches that also destroy them. All in all it was a nice little OVA though, predictable yes, but enjoyable nonetheless and with an excellent OP for my collection.

After seeing the title I was not too interested, and so I downloaded the show just to make fun of it, you know, for a laugh. Well, I found that i liked to show. And while I found the concept of little girls with pink hair and robotic arm that stab through people stupid, I found the show EXTREMELY enjoyable. I have only watched the first ep, so we will see if it stays this fun, but so far it's pretty awesome.

Thanks guys/gals for making me aware to a new anime.

Way to decide to pick up the series the day after the last ep comes out. People are going to discuss the series as a whole for at least a week or so before this thread vanishes into the bowels of Gen Anime.

did you look at my join date? lol. It's cool. I was never one to be angry about spoilers, but I know other people HATE them.

Ryllharu
Tue, 09-04-2007, 09:51 PM
Generally, spoilers are only uncalled for when the episode hasn't been subbed, the material is only available in manga format, or the series is a remake. There's a rules thread with more detail. Once the episode is subbed, consider yourself warned about "spoilers" in the threads. I will use a "episode content" spoiler only if I'm posting the download link in the same post.

As for the end of the series, I have to admit I suspected they'd be stuck the way they are. Faris-Alita would kill Cecelia in a brutal fashion, and not kill Kaito. I didn't foresee her losing her friends and the androids, as well as everything non-human in the world.

It was a light and funny OVA series, with good action sequences. Faris going into Berserker mode on Kaito was very well done, multiple slashes in very quick succession.

As for their body swap situation, the anime made it much more complicated. Falling together in a mystical magical light. I only ever had the first three chapters of the manga, but this is how it happens there. Age-old anime cliche.

That version would be an easy fix.

Good old doomsday machines and madmen. I thought the prince was somehow controlled by the witch, and the witch would have wanted something for herself from Teoria. I was thus quite surprised when the dude ordered a single servering of world destruction. Although such a thing naturally was quite funny in a cliched way. Especially considering how the prince didn't really even believe in his own words that much, which was made evident in the scenes after he got beaten by the princess.

I couldn't agree more, the show surprised me with the witch not controlling everyone. Great series as far as I'm concerned, not real deep, but a the huge fun factor makes it worth it. Thanks for making me aware of this show.

I really disliked the ending for this one. I just thought that the initial concept could have gotten farther even with such a short OAV. It felt like with each episode it went downhill.
