I seem to only be able to download from certain trackers.

For instance, if I download from Bakakozou, Scarywater, or Bitsoup's torrents it downloads fine. But, if I try from Shinsen-subs, Dattlebayo, or this site's torrents I get this error:

Problem connecting to tracker - (10060. 'Operation timed out')

I use Bittornado or uTorrent.

Any help in the matter would be appreciated.

I'd recommend sticking with uTorrent. How do you open the torrent files?

I, for one, actually DL the torrent file to my computer and then open it with uTorrent, as opposed to using the torrent client's Search functions or just clicking on them. Try it and see if it helps.

Operation timed out' (aka 10060)

* That error means that the tracker is down or too busy to process your request. Just keep trying - leave your torrent open, if it doesn't see some action in about 20 -30 minutes try again later, the tracker may just be busy that's all.
* It may also be your BT Client, Make sure you have one of the clients listed in our list of accepted clients and which versions of those clients we allow
* If after a few days your download still does not start or continue and you are sure you have correctly configured your environment (i.e. made sure you have read all the FAQs about configuring your client), then you can safely assume the tracker/torrent is gone.

I've also seen that from isp-level filtering. I think Bakakozou's tracker uses port 80, and I know scarywater uses 443. We use 6968. The default is 6969 -- but nobody sane uses it anymore, since several major providers started filtering 6969 like 2 years ago to kill tracker traffic, calling it a "sub-seven resurgence".

It's possible that your provider is only allowing traffic on www ports, or is blocking traffic in a broad swath. Hard to really tell.

I also download them to my computer first.

If this is what is happening there's basically nothing I can do then?

if that is indeed the problem, then you're sorta stuck, yeah.
