This is a decent series to watch if you enjoy action, fighting, violence, and gore.

The story takes place in Shinjuku, Tokyo.

In spring, a mysterious student transfers to Magami Academy. His name is Hiyu Tatsuma. Then, he meets Horaiji Kyoichi of the kendo club, Daigo Yuya of the wresting club, Sakurai Komaki of the kyudo (Japanese archery) club, and Misato Aoki who is the student leader, as if they were attracted by something. Being influenced by Ryumyaku or Dragon Vein, which became active suddenly, they are awakened as “persons who posses powers”. Since that day, monsters called “Oni” appear and begin to assault Tokyo. Also, those who use evil power to control Oni appear. To protect Tokyo from them, Tatsuma and his friend stand up to fight. Then, they have to face their destiny….

Ho... Sounds very intriguing, indeed. But then again, anything with zombies sounds good!

It's nice to see this season will also offer fine series to consume.

Awesome Shinsen released the first episode!

This anime features zombies, more zombies, Evil Kung-Fu Grandfathers, still more zombies, schoolgirl, mop-throwing teachers, badass Buddhists, and TAOIST SPIDER ROBOTS WHO FLING ZOMBIES. Yes, it's possibly the most awesome anime ever created.
Episode 1- Shinsen (http://bt.shinsen-subs.org/%5BShinsen-Subs%5D_Tokyo_Majin_Gakuen_Kenpuchou_-_01_%5B3BE08435%5D.avi.torrent)

Yes this anime is gory and violent but if you don't mind that then you will enjoy it. The first episode didn't have much of a plot or made sense that much but the next episode should explain things more. Enjoy the first episode of eye candy and zombie battles.

It was pretty good and looked interesting indeed. The zombies were well made, as well. The main characters were't bad, either, even if not that surprising so far. I'll most certainly keep watching.

Good episode, but the execution of the story seems lacking, hopefully it'll get better after this since it's only an introductory episode. Every scene was too random.

Nice to watch, but i don't get into the story... what the hell is happening? what is their goal?

Just wait a little. This is hardly the first anime series where things aren't thoroughly explained in the first episode.

Yeah... i guess so.

I will watch this to episode 5 or so, if i still don't get it. I will just drop it off my list. No point watching something you don't understand, right?

I think you are forgetting something: There's always a point to watch anything with zombies in it!

I think this was a pretty good and cool episode. I agree with Bud about the lack of story and randomness, but everything else was well-done. Maybe it's just me, but this episode seemed like Resident Evil, except that the zombies and such actually hide themselves well instead of going on massive rampages, haha.

Good action, and it felt like a movie with its skippiness and sheer randomness. I particularly like the main character, the one with the gloves. I hate the stick wielding guy for some reason. I dont know why but he reminds me of sasuke. I know they are worlds different, but i dont know...

Totally awesome.

I loved this show. The design is great. The characters are well made and cool. The action is fast paced, smooth and uum awesome. Explicit violence and gore. It's all good.

I don't get why you're complaining about the lack of story, I think they did a great job at conveying the overall atmosphere of the show and introducing the characters.

Nice start. The drawing is good. The characters are interesting. The fighting was good, especially the last fight. Also nice to see that the setting are in present Japan(though I think we'll see some from the past)

I'll keep watching it

No don't think so, the latest RAW Episode 3 came out yesterday and just no subs have been out yet. I am really looking forward to the upcoming episodes too and I got a little spoiled but got to see an awesome fight scene.

More coolness, this show looks like it'll fit nicely into the niche that Tokko failed miserably in. I hope they can keep up the intrgue but all we can do at this point is give it time.

I don't remember seeing the particular antenna design of the girls' hair anywhere else before. Though it could be I simply don't remember it. Suits this fast and furious series well.

This this is a pretty interesting anime like the action. I didn't mind how episode 1 went without explaining things, figured they'd do so within a few episodes and in episode 2 they have begun to, at least giving us information on how all the members met. waiting for eps 3 ^^;

Im not liking where this is going. Im starting to get bored with the character interactions, and its only episode 4. I particularly hate the wooden stick wielding arrogant bastard. The main character is cool, but he receives too little attention i think.

It's a team of 5 teenagers with attitude...you've got to have the one useless one who has no confidence. Houraji is the Red one, Hiyo is the Black one (but should be the Red), Daigo is Blue, Sakurai is Yellow, and Aoi is Pink. All the identifiers are there, Red and Black havea tense relationsip, Blue has a crush on Yellow, and of course, Pink sucks and has no confidence, but as we saw in ep 3 when everyone else was KTFO she stepped in to kick some ass.

Episode 5 - Shinsen (http://bt.shinsen-subs.org/%5BShinsen-Subs%5D_Tokyo_Majin_Gakuen_Kenpuchou_-_05_%5BAF5DD1F4%5D.avi.torrent)

Something makes me think that Sakurai has more than just feelings of a friend for Misato, due to her insistence on hanging out with her on the beach, pool, etc. And then when Sakurai was using her bow poorly, the archery club onlookers were saying that they were having a lover's quarrel. And her constant bickering, I guess there needs to be a shoujo-ai circle jerk.

I'm watching it, but I haven't really thought enough about it to comment. BUt since I'm bored I might as well do it now. Aoi's hot, Sakurai is a lesbian in denial, Daigo is kindof pathetic, Hiyuu is awesome, and Horaiji is also pretty impressive. The plot makes very little sense to me, though with these last two eps I think I finaly have a working understanding of the bad guy's motive. He wants something, and the team is the key to getting it, possibly because they have what it is he wants. The reporter chick is good comic relief and I like the use of her shady mirror glasses effects.

The beginning of episode 9, felt out of place with Hiyuu meeting that brown hair chick, then it goes to the intro. She wasn't mentioned at all throughout the rest of the episode. That kinda ticked me off a bit. And we need more Hiyuu development. The Hodzune guy was so pissed that Hiyuu being the only one being on almost equal footing with him, and couldn't figure out who he was.

Man, this series has got too emo towards the end. In the beginning it was a real fighting show with people with attitude and disposition to fight. Now it's another "I will save my enemy even though he's trying to kill me" show. What the heck?

Well, it was still quite nice, but I wish they hadn't changed it half way through.

Okay a second season is coming, which is good because with the way that it was left I'm confident I could have written a better plot containing these same charachters with the same powers (does anyone actually know what Daigo's power actually was?). Hopefully we'll learn useful information in the next chapter.

I'm guessing it was super strength since he was a wrestler, and the ability to throw this long ass chain that's wrapped around his right arm.

Edit: Uh, is it me or is the color of this episode is really bad? Besides that, that wasn't very good, and we never learned the secret behind the mark on Tatsuma's left hand.

Edit: first episode was actually pretty decent.

Indeed. This was a pretty good episode with blood and serious fights. I hope it will continue like this.

It was also quite interesting how some of the enemies were so powerful and some a lot weaker right from the beginning. This could be an interesting setting for further development; character and story likewise.
