New series by Bee Train which has brought some of my favorite series, Madlax and Noir. This series seems to have the same element as those two, 2 lead female characters, who'll probably be very kickass.

El Cazador is the story of a girl named Elis, who finds herself on the run from the so called Hunters of the underground society due to being a suspect of a murder. She meets up with a bounty hunter named Nadi who offers her help and guidance to pursue the truth of her past. But now she`s also being target by the Hunters and so their quest for the truth begins.

Series should start somewhere around April, and I'm very much looking forward to it.

For those interested, the title El Cazador de la Bruja translates to The Hunter of the Witch

I'll definitely check this one out. Although I find weird seeing an anime whose title will be in Spanish... oh well. Noir is french...(need to get that series btw...)

I hope the fights and enemies will be better than in Noir. Those were just too miserable.

Noir was pretty good, it had a lot of potential but just fell through...
Madlax was pretty crappy.
I hope this is better.

I don't know, I enjoyed both series... but I do understand the argument from those who don't like it. I always liked the mystery of the series and the music. Most seem to dislike it because they hate how the action scenes are presented (piece of shit opponents) and the frustrations then pass to the storyline, since it also contains alot of bullshit plot devices/mysterious events that irritate some (not me).

I think this series is going to be more of an adventure than actual bullshit mysteries that some dislike from the former series, so I have a little bit of hope that a broarder audience will enjoy the series.

I enjoyed madlax better than Noir. I actually enyoyed Noir on average, but I found it quite crappy, not because of the action because by the time I watched I havent really seen much good action anime (at that time I actually thought it was good, how wrong I was), but the story and character development wasnt really done well.

Madlax had a better story, more characters, a better twist, good mystery, and like Bud said, amazing music. I dont think the mystery part is bullshit, and if people dont understand it, Id rather blame the people than the series itself, since that is what I liked about Madlax in the first place.

This series seems a bit more lighthearted from the preview, and it being adventure type looking, the buildup shouldnt be as stretched out, since the mystery and suspense doesnt need incubation time. I actually think this is what many hate about the earlier series. They get frustrated by the pace and dont really get to enjoy the greatness of the series itself.

well i liked it its got a very clean look to it and an awsome latin sound track. I like Nadi however Elis and her lack of personality could wear thin as the show drags on to early to say

Nice first episode. I didn't expect them to follow the title so closely... I mean, Ellis being a witch (bruja).

Kaijura's music as always marvelous. I can't wait for this series soundtrack.

On another matters... wish I know which pueblito of the south they used for this episode. Hopefully the building where Rosenberg was wasn't in USA, but rather on one of Mexico's big cities... like Distrito Federal, Guadalajara or even Monterrey. I hate when they just show pueblitos when making references to Mexico. Oh well.

Group did a good job indeed btw. If no one else subbes this I'll keep getting it from this B-I

Oh yeah... one more thing... the gay cazadores at the end... creepy.

Don't diss Madlax. Madlax is perhaps the best anime out there with an amazing Soundtrack.

After watching both episodes, and hearing the background music in El Cazador de la Bruja, Madlax is the first that came to mind. I hope this anime becomes just as awesome as Madlax.

The story is similar to Madlax too. :)

Thats obvious since they were made by the same studio.
Plus... Noir, Madlax and El Cazador de la Bruja's soundtracks are/were made by Yuki Kaijura (the same one from the .hack series and Xenosaga Episode 2 videogame)

When Ellis tries to put out the fire (Ep 2), was it meant to be a bit......suggestive?

The people after Ellis are really, really....creepy. There's the man in the office, who definitely is interested in things about her only a stalker would want (why she picks the nouns she does??), and the really creepy guy with the video camera who follows them and gets into a state of ecstasy when he sees her doing anything. *shivers*

It's really hard to not like Nadie. Her arguments with Frida in this episode were great, especially since she has her hair in twin-tails and wears a waitress outfit. Even the nice things she does for Frida after all their small fighting. I do wonder about the jewels in her hair. Ellis has that strange rock, and Miss "Blue Eyes" Hayward has some pendant around her neck, so is there any significance to Nadie's?

So there are two main factions. Nadie and Miss Hayward are the ones trying to get Ellis to where she needs to go, and the creepy Corporate people want to capture her, and I assume they sent the man and kid pair bounty hunters. I could be wrong though, there might be three factions.
