Has anyone bought this sword by chance? I wont post a link since Im not sure if Im supposed to, but the one I saw looked really nice (especially since the blade itself was black), and $39.99 wasnt too bad of a price. Im just curious of the quality.

search it over google.

to me it is just a rip off, that just a plain simple sword that they "modified" to look like ichigo bankai sword.

It's just a regular sword with a slightly modified hilt. Not worth it IMO.

It is 5 ft long though, that isn't normal for most katana I believe?

i have this:

but yes 68 inches is way to long to handle properly, a sword like that cant even be drawn ( not fast anyway), i do want it though, i want this one aswell:

even though the hamon looks like shit and its clearly a factory produced blade, at least it is carbon steel..........and its the freakin dragon sword <_<

Well, heres the link that I was referring to:

darksteel, is the paint on the sword starting to chip or is that just bad lighting or something? If its the former, then I probably wont get it since I fear something similiar will happen and I dont want to waste 40 bucks on it if the sword looses its most unique feature.

Dude, that's not even the right sword. It looks like a standard katana with some add-ons to resemble Tensa Zangetsu. Here's a more faithful reproduction, if not quite useable or realistic:

it is the right sword, just a cheaper version, its also only 37 inches, the other one is 68 inches,

oh and on my blade it isnt paint >_> its a black powder coating, it doesnt come off, what seen on that pic is a damaged version, since the edge is the only part that isnt coated.

Animeniax: DS is right, theyre both the same sword. One is just longer than the other. Waaaaay to long if you ask me. I think they should have made a 40-some-odd-inch sword as I believe that would be much more accurate.

darkshadow: Yeah, my apologizes for that, I was looking at something else when I was writing that and didnt bother to scroll up to double check the name.

But black powder you say? They say for the tensa bankai that its a "black finish". I wonder if that covers the entire blade.

it prolly does, in most cases black finish means a powder coating.

They're not the same sword. They both look like Ichigo's bankai Tensa Zangetsu, but the first one is a cheap pseudo-version stock katana. The second is a much more faithful representation of the sword. Might as well state a '67 Camaro is the same as a '68 Camaro, not that I care for either car, but you get my point.

@vegita613: It is way too long, but it's an art piece, and not meant to be wielded or used in battle, kind of like FF gun-swords or Link's sword from Zelda.

I didnt say its the same sword, i said its the right sword, and they ARE from the same manufacturer, the shorter one is just more practical.
