Hay guys....this'll be cool...
If you get a Wii, hook yourself up to the connect24 thing and then put up your #. Then we can create a network and mingle our anime-based mii characters. Using some of the examples you guys came up with in one of those older topics, I made a Lee, Gai, Sakura, and Gaara.

Anyway, I'll start a list of #s. Post yours and I'll update this post with it. You can only link wiis if both people add each other's #s.

Well I am supposed to have it guaranteed in the week of release.

And yes it only occured to me once I had placed the order for the Wii that

a) I am no longer a student with little money

b) I actually work now and the Wii will not really bring in enough profit to make it worth my while.

Still, now that I have placed the order I guess I might as well sell it on, as £180 on a system like Wii is perhaps too much for me right now, considering that I will hardly have the time to play it.

I could never connect on mine either, but I took it to a friend's house, was able to connect and update, and now it works on mine. Apparently the initial firmware update is the hardest part.

When would be a good time to order Wii's online? I'm really hoping to get one before Christmas but I have a feeling that its not going to happen. My roommate and I just looked at a bunch of retailers that Nintendo's site listed and every single store was sold out and not taking orders online anymore. =/

I'll be getting mine at the midnight release in Australia, which will be Thursday 7th December. When I have one, I'll come join you guys.

Question: does the console have some kind of ethernet port, or is it strictly wireless? I do have a wireless router, it's just that I find using cables is more reliable when it's just as convenient to do so.

Hate me all you want for this, but the Playstation 3 is much better. From what I've seen, I don't think that the Wii can match up to either Microsoft or Sony. BAD REP FTW

So far, I've created Rocky (Sylvester Stalone), Captain Kirk, Picard, Vash, Kenshin, Walter and The Dude (from The Big Lebowski - apparently this wasn't as an original idea as I thought), and V.

I wish you could do more with the Miis in the Mii channel besides pick them up and put them in order.

I must say, I found the Mii creating process to be much more enjoyable than I originally thought. Pity that, some of the options on the online demo got left out of the final product.

bagandscalpel and I go to the same college. He doesn't have a Wii yet, hence him using our console for his own creative endeavors.

Also, just made Chuck Norris. I'm pretty proud of it~

I really thought more people would have Wiis by now :(. I've got like, 3 people in my address book.

To check your console number, just go to the Wii message board, then the little notepad icon. From there you should see the "address book" option (or whatever it is), which lists your console number on the first page.

Finally finished Zelda which was awesome by the way so now I can get back to my normal life.

I finally got connected too and I'm not even using a Wireless router.
It turns out that the little Nintendo Wi-Fi USB adapter from my DS, can also be used with the Wii.
I look forward for to adding every one that those get one and I hope you add me.

I have all my anime characters on mingle. I've noticed the parade thing seems to involve a rather gradual migrating process. Does anyone know the link to that mii simulator tool someone put up online a while back? It would be cool to create snapshots of our custom miis to put up here.

Quick question: Do you have to send your Mii's to your friends for them to show up in your Mii Parade? Or does that just happen automatically once your friends with someone and their Mii is set to travel?

Yes both Wiis have to have each other in their address book. I havent added the most recent ones to mine yet, but I'll do that the next time I get the chance.

Miis set on mingle will transfer to other parades automatically....but I think its a delayed effect.

Ok, so I finally added the new guys to my address book.
Also, It appears my address has changed, since I had to get my unit replaced.

Er yeah, forgot to mention that my # in my first post has been updated.

The problem I came across was a bunch of small vertical lines that persisted on my screen both in-game and in the menu, regardless of which tv or cables I used.

They were able to transfer my miis, address book, notes, saves, and wii shop data, but unfortunately my address has changed and, more notably, I can't edit any of the miis I created anymore =(
