I mean... ep 181's title says it all.

Btw... from ep 178 they talk about a boy with Star (hoshi) in its name. We wanted to believe it was retorical, but with 181 I am sure it will be four episodes of Kisame. The only thing that could save this eps is that we get to see Zabuza (on flashbacks), but I doubt it.

Seriously, and the month began good with the news about new intro and ending.

I have a little hope with the intro and ending.

Kind like before the Sasuke-chase arc. When we were in the middle of fillers and the new intro showed the Sound Four. If the new opening has something like this I will find new hope. If not, I just hope Naruto doesn't die on us like Kenshin did back in its days.

1. DB has been known for pulling pranks like these before.
2. If there really was 26 more fillers episodes than it would be posted ALL over the internet yet no one has found it.
3. I doubt the manga writers miscalculated the amount of time they needed to allow the manga to pull ahead from the anime; if anything they could have guess wrong by 5 episodes or so, NOT 26 weeks worth of it.....


Anyways im not so worried about it. The future titles are related to Ero Sennin so these episodes might be just to set up the storyline for when the real anime returns (not the fillers)

Yeah, this is what makes me doubt DB's statement, they're well known for making pranks (there's the "Timecop is Dead" one, for example) and the fake fansubs they usually make a week before an hour long episode.
I'm pretty sure they're having a great time laughing at us for being so gullible, but I can't shake the feeling that it's true.

I hate to say it But I think its true..........With the descriptions of upcoming episodes, they seem to do nothing besides fuel the fire for a filler arc. Just a note for everyone... not a spoiler... Everyone keeps talkin about Jyria coming back as pointing to an end of the fillers....... but this probally means the fillers are going to continue....not to give away anything from the manga but... the Kakashi Gaiden story line (which has been mentioned already...) is the ONLY thing that happens between the time jump to 3 years later and the end of "Sauske chase" Arc.

As for going the way of good old Kenshin (ruined/cancled due to a filler arc)... this will probally not happen to Naruto... since it is such a CASH COW now. Think if DBZ had this kinda Popularity/syndication in america when it was actually being aired for the first time in japan..... they would probally still been making "DragonBall ZZX GT Turbo Ultra" even though every episode would be terrible.

Something else to mention, as of right now Naruto is left on a huge cliff hanger. I don't think they would end the series without resolving the story. If the show did lose popularity, they might make a filler ending or something. FMA's ending was completely different from the manga, so it has been proven it can be done properly. I have no high hopes though with these writers...

They ended the anime after Dai fougth his father, the Dragon Knight. And it was just volume 12 of a 37 volume series.

Filler endings are more evil than letting a series end without an end.

FMA only had a filler end because the manga was still being published.

The FMA anime ending was not filler. Though it was entirely different from what happened in the manga (has the FMA manga even finished?), it is not considered as "Filler" because it was not being used to fill time or wait for the manga to get ahead. The anime simply told a different story than the manga did.

Not exactly true. There is a short scene where Jiraiya and Naruto leave Konoha to begin his training. Perhaps the fillers will have Jiraiya return, and then leave again with Naruto. Which is then followed by the Kakashi Gaiden. Edit: I don't consider this a spoiler, it's pretty uneventful.

I hope the few next fillers (up to ep 181?) are Jiraiya-Naruto fillers for some training, and then we finally see the Gaiden.

The intro of ep 179 will decide it all. Like when we had the first filler, after the Sannin-Arc, when they had that lousy mission at Tea Country, and the new opening showed the 4 Sound Nin.

It would be interesting to see if they do some sort of mini filler arc with Jiraiya, then they had naruto head off with him into the sunset to pursue his training. I'd like to believe that but the upcomming episode titles don't sound remontly related to Kakshi gaiden or the time jump. Ultimately the new opening will show us whether or not the new season will have any real new content.

Really does surprise me that FMA saw such good story content but yet the writing monkeys at studio Pierrot can't produce anything half-way decent for naruto. It's really sad especially considering how deep and rich the naruto mythology can be. More then enough stuff for them to work with.

Actually if Ero Sennin is coming back these coming episodes then the Gaiden can be right after that; this does not mean that the 26 weeks of fillers are guaranteed. Or the creators might decide to skip the Gaiden for another time and get on to the real anime. All in all, I expect only about 6 weeks of fillers left, but im hoping its less then that.

P.S DBZ was good for only bits and pieces of the whole saga, but dont compare Naruto (ultimate anime) to such a lowly anime as DBZ.

That new episode title does give hope that the end of the fillers might be in a few more weeks. If i remember correctly when the studio director said that the real naruto would begin in april he never said it would be during the beginning of the month. They might have one or two filler episodes in the next season wrap everything up then have naruto head off with Jiraiya into the sunset.

The only true indication that the naruto will be returning to the main storyline will ultimately be determined by the new opening. As always the real naruto opening feature animation that contains hints about the future plot line and story arcs for the season. I'm guessing the ultimate fate of whether or not we have to endure another season of fillers will be determined by the new opening song and the animation that accompanies it.

The problem is in saying DBZ is worse than Rugrats. DBZ may not be as good as any of the shows we watch now that are based on it, but it doesn't really deserve to have its badness exaggerated like that. It's not that bad.

But, as I was implying, apparently these days you can't be cool around anime fans on the internet unless you harp on how much you think DBZ sucks. Even though they've all probably seen all 300 episodes.

hey i liked DBZ although i found the GT saga messed up and the Buu saga wierd, other than that it is one of my favorites. watched all the episodes, all. and currently searching for all the movies..... and to know that DBZ influenced alot of todays anime it is wrong to say that it is bad... it was one of the best anime of its' time and it still is even today.

The first one makes me believe Naruto finally leaves Konoha.
The second one makes me think about a summary of what will happen / happened while Naruto leaves.

It got Translated the first way the same way some of the kids I tutor in math get answers.. Its called hopeful algebra.. you do abunch of steps that look correct.... but are not... and infact are only makign them becuase you are answering a question That you already know the answer too (just doing leg work inbetween)... Same thing with that title.. someone looked at it and knew what they WANTED to see... so they translated it like that....

Why? This is probably just me, but simply because it's a speedsub. Screw gags on - if you don't mind me saying - 'professional' fansubs from say, AnimeOne and Kaizoku-Fansubs. But I think they go just fine with DB's subs seeing how as soon as AnimeOne sub an episode, the DB version is no longer archive quality.

Iv read some of the manga and theres some pretty cool things in there I cant WAIT to actualy TALK about with my nonmanga reading friends.... and I cant WAIT to see them animated.

From what I've heard, they are missing a licenser (for the manga?). If that's true, they'll proably find one soon, and the fillers will end. Maybe that's why the fillers are only one episode now?

Remember, the more filler they feed us now the less we have to deal with in the future. The anime is at a great point to take a break and let the manga get ahead. Yeah, I know alot of people would rather have short filler arcs interspersed in the general storyline, but not me. I'd rather get all of this crappiness out of the way so we can enjoy some kickass Naruto the way it should be once it all starts up again.

And at this point I'm just about numb to filler shitiness. If they mingled filler with manga-based episodes not only would it ruin the pace but the filler episodes would look even worse than they are now.

It's like walking past a puddle of piss on the street. Yes it stinks. No nobody likes that smell (lest you got some serious issues). But you know what? I'd rather all the people piss in one street or on one block and to hold my breath and just grit that block out, knowing there's beautifully fresh air at the end.

Ep 188 marks the full 2 seasons of filler. My hopes have been, since several weeks ago, on ep 179. If it somehows involves Jiraiya FINALLY stoping his "research" it will be good. If not... a 3rd season?

Dunno... I somehow expect half of the current "season" (not taking in accout where the fillers began to mark 2 season) to be filler, and the second half being certain gaiden...

Or at least throw us some fillers were Naruto trains with Jiraiya! If the fillers get to that point, at least we shall now the fillers are coming to an end....

Looking at the fillers in hindsight, they should have been about everything except the primary three (Naruto, Sakura, Sasuke). What I'm getting at is: What is going on with everyone around them? How are they progressing during these three years? These sorts of things could have been answered quite well should they have excluded Naruto for the most part during the last year and then some during the fillers. Hell, they could have interchanged the 'main character' every so often to keep things going had they run down material for each individual, and have them take a back seat to the action at that point.

Taken from that perspective, the fillers could have done quite a bit of imaginative stuff had they just taken advantage of existing supporting characters and had a huge amount of material to work from without having the feeling of the series being soaked in piss (it's nice and warm initially but disgusting on so many levels).

well yea, i mean we really can't do much else. it's up to studio pierrot if they:

a. want to continue to do filler and put em on dvd's later on (mass profit)
b. ruin the series and make the anime get cancelled or cut short
c. realize that alot of fans are still waiting for the fillers to stop & that potentially about 89% of the naruto fans around the world will stop supporting naruto

Animenewsnetwork has not had false information up about the Naruto anime ever, as far as I know. They had info on fillers from 4 weeks before they came out at some points, and the episode titles were always nearly exactly what they ended up being. Animenewsnetwork has not had false information up about the Naruto anime ever, as far as I know. They had info on fillers from 4 weeks before they came out at some points, and the episode titles were always nearly exactly what they ended up being. That being said, this could still be a hoax, it just seems unlikely due to their accuracy to this point.

I'm inclined to think no. Well, of course it always sucks to have fillers, but the alternative is even worse. As long as we are running these current fillers, nothing changes. But if we run the real episode for a while, it will drastically change the overall setting of the series. Thus, if we then go back to fillers, they are or can be quite different.

@ Assertn: I don't remember not being allowed to discuss the episode preview in the regular forum....(Obviously I haven't been arund as long as youthough) , but the preview is part of the released episode, and it's rare that the preview gives you much more than a glimps of some action with Naruto talking about how he's going to win no matter what.

I would make the argument that knowing a little about the next episode isn't all that bad, but it's really personal preferance, and the whole NO SPOILERS creed is also personal preferance.

I would also make the argument that most shows that I've seen, anime or even US tv, release a preview of the upcoming ep but that doesn't really matter in this case and is totally empty.

And finally I would make some other argumnet, because three tends to be the golden number of points a 'good' argument should have (according to my English teacher in 8th grade) but I can't think of another argument, let alone a rebuttal for it. So I'll close by saying the same thing I'm about to say in another thread. If you don't want any spoilers at all why does this thread still exist? The title inherantly gives information about the upcoming episodes and information about upcoming episodes was a large part of the definition of spoilers last I checked, so by the NO SPOILER creed shouldn't this thread be locked?

EDIT: I am not advocating lockage b/c of me being spoiled. I read the manga and don't care whether people stay in ignorance or not as to the story. But I do love rules, as they offer a confined arena to practice interpreative skills on, as this post has been an example of.

Yes, knowing a little about the next episode can be all that bad. Previews reveal things that could otherwise be some of the biggest suspense or plot twist moments in the series. For an example of a REALLY bad episode preview, watch the one at the end of 122. It didn't even take me very long to find a good example.
