This is a new series, that should start around April, by Production I.G. I'm a big fan of their work especially Ghost in the Shell, Chevalier. Don't know anything about this new series, but I liked what I saw from the character in the website.

10 years since the great war, tensions were mounting within the country of Wellber, which was barely capable of keeping peace, as war could commence at any time with its neighboring country, Sangatras. In order to avoid warfare, the king of Wellber, Haidel planned on marrying off his daughter, Princess Rita, to Sangatras` Prince Guernia.

However, Rita stabbed her groom to be and ran away. Infuriated, Sangatras` King Ranbahnhof threatens to wage war unless Rita is captured and publicly executed within 14 days. In order to avoid the worst case scenario, Rita decides to head for the neutral country of Greedom.

Meanwhile, the woman thief Tina sneaks into Castle Wellber, seeking its treasures, when she happens to witness the stabbing of Guernia by Rita.
Whether it be by coincidence or necessity, Tina receives information that the "Wasp Man" she was after is in Greedom, her sworn enemy who took the life of her parents.

Tina agrees to become Rita`s bodyguard as they head out to Greedom. Shouldering their fate and destiny, the two meet, leave, and set out on their journey. What awaits them is war or peace, vengeance or death...

This sounds quite promising. Too bad it's so far off. But I guess it's good to know there are promising series waiting in the future...

Plot sounds similiar to El Cazador de la Bruja. Sounds pretty selfish of the princess even if it is an arranged marriage, to condemn her country to war and flee for her own safety. Though the will to live is commendable, but allowing war to occur is not. There's probably more to it to the story than that, and hopefully so. I'm not sure if I'd like to watch a protagonist like that. Will watch it in a bit.

Edit: Just watched it, it's pretty interesting. I do hate the princess, though she had no development yet either. She is a selfish coward, she didn't think even once for the people of her country and did not hesitate to high tail it.Tina's a decent character. I thought her voice sounded familiar, so I go check and lo and behold she also does the voice of Naruto. Gonna watch some more pretty much only for Tina, and the art/animation, hopefully something will cause me to hate the princess less.

Hmm... But we know absolutely nothing yet of what happened before the moment Tina saw the prince already knifed. If there was some valid reason for it (or even explanation how it happened in a totally different manner than we were lead to believe), it would make one bitter, and very short, story to have the princess give herself up to be executed. Who knows what would have happened in the real world, but story wise such a thing would suck noodles long and thick.

I see no reason to hate the princess. At least not yet.

I mean, they could've atleast used some plot device to get her out of her situation. Like say, she was on her way back, but was stopped by Weiss. She didn't give going back a chance. The reason she stabbed the prince, seems to be she had no love for him and when he tried to engage in sex/rape her she stabbed him. She wouldn't be in this predicament right now, if she had say flipped him and knocked him unconscious with her adept hand to hand skills as shown near the last 5 minutes in the episode, then made her way out in some way. I can only ponder how she would have a knife naked, or how the prince would be dumb enough to not notice it.

Live-Evil is also fansubbing this series, and as such I'm personally switching over to their releases.

Edit: It's nice how upstanding of a citzen the Princess is to prevent Tina from stealing when she couldn't stop herself from stabbing and killing the damn prince. But we kinda also see why she did it, the prince did bring a knife and forcibly asked her to undress. However, that still wouldn't mean she shoulda stabbed him. Maybe he wanted to put it in her pooper XD.

You probably are. I dropped this a long time ago. It was too goofy and not nearly exciting enough.
