From watching the preview on their site, it seems to be that this is a Chinese animation, might be interesting. It at least looks like it'll have some action.

First episode released by ppalgan-Anime:

Hmm... I can't spot anything but Korean stuff in the site, but maybe I'm just missing something.

Anyway, it would be nice to learn something more about this. The anidb page is devoid of even classifications, not to mention a description. But the pictures look very nice, though. Kind of reminds of Utawarerumono...

Well it might as well be Korean, I just know that it isn't Japanese...

Most of the good mangas I've been reading lately have been from Korea, so I'd be willing to give this a chance to see it's any good.

It seems like the anime is based on the korean drama called Dae Janggeum. The drama takes place in the old korean era and its about a girl named Janggeum who strives to become the best cook, who basically serves the emperor what he eats...

Saw the first ep, liked it. Wished the characters spoke Korean instead of Japanese... it would've been an opportune moment for me to learn some Korean ^^ Definitely a Korean feel to everything, clothing, culture, etc., so I was tickled pink. Another cooking anime but somehow it's working in (normal?) political intrigue into the whole thing as well which makes it a little different from say, Cooking Master Boy. But that's all I can get based off one episode though. We usually get a clearer idea of where the anime is headed after 5 eps or so.

Ah, so the anime is in Japanese? I wonder why the trailer was in some other language... Might be something like what happened with Condor Hero, which had a Chinese version and a Japanese version.

Yeah, I was so excited at the prospect of a cartoon being spoken in Korean... oh well! To me it looked like the Japanese voice acting was dubbed over. The mouth movements didn't look like the usual ones associated with Japanese, if that makes any sense.

Maybe that means I'll be able to find it in the future in some DVD. One can still hope ^^
