Perhaps some are, like Temari's weasel-thing with scytes, the one she summoned to help Shikamaru against Tayuya. That was either plain Wind or a combination of Wind/Lighting or Wind/Fire.

Summoning is a ninja art, not an elemental one. The way I percieve it, the jutsu's with Ninja Art: in front are not affiliated with turning your chakra into something like fireballs or waterfalls are, but simply using raw chakra to do things that raw charkra can do.

I'm assuming the combination of two chakra elements does not guarantee the same new element. Like w/ Yamato, wood is the result of his mixing water and earth. But wood is due to his particular chakra manipulation of the respective elements making for wood. The possibility exists that the combination of water and earth chakras could make for a new plant "element" or jutsu (probably the more appropriate word). The plant jutsu being the result of a different (dual) chakra manipulation from however Yamato manipulates the water and earth elemental chakras..

I don't doubt that; I'm just talking about possibilities. If it's possible to have a double elemental affinity, then it might be possible (albeit much rarer) to have a triple or quadruple elemental affinity.

the golden flicker move could be either of them. he might have moved in super speed by reducing the amount of water in the air infront of him to lesser "water ressistence" in the air and then the wind to push him faster, and thus gainning double speed boost.
the other possibility is that he uses the electricity to charge him up with faster movement and the wind to support him, which could explain his super movement and bluryy after image (think Enel from ONe Piece).

yeah, since naruto is so closely similar to the fourth, i dont doubt the fourth is a wind type... just his look makes him a wind and fire-y kind of guy in my head...

i wasnt aware there was any water resistance in the air 0.o.

and the electricity thing wouldnt make snese either, cuz if youre talking about like charges repelling each other, you have to get the same charge as the eartth which is neutral. i just kinda figured the yellow flash was a combination was strong muscles and possibly chakra at the soles of your feet. chakra can make you stick to trees or 'repel' yourself in order to walk on water. plus i think we've seen someone using chakra to move faster but i can't remember who and where. maybe it was in a filler or something.

I think that was Sasuke when Haku attacked Naruto when Naruto was nearly defeated and he went in for the final blow. You could clearly see him using Chakra on his feet to move faster.

Ok i aint been keeping up with Naruto much had other things to do (most involve large amounts of intoxicating fluid) so i may be somewhat behind on this but in all honesty i saw this coming a mile away

I started thinking about combinations and the effects (eg: Wind + Water = ice as with Haku) and also what types the characters where and then i was thinking about dark and light nature. It would (to me anyway) stand to reason that Itachi was fire type as it was stated that most of the Uchiha clan were. It would also stand to reason that Fire + Dark = Amaterasu (the black flames used by itachi) although not much has been said about dark and light nature other than a quick mention from Kakashi so this is pure spectulation.

And what if a person was to use Fire + Water would they cancel each other out or would he be able to make hot coffee whan ever he felt like it ? :p ( would make an exellent starbucks employe)

Id have to go with Wind + Water Sub Zero was always my fave Mortal Kombat character

Lightning and Water. Two best elements ever. And lightning can create fire as well as heat. If Shadow or there was a dark element, that'd be my choice because if there was such element topic, the Shiki Fuujin technique would be in that and thats the best technique ever.
