2 years ago an OVA was released, didn't like it much, but I blame it on it being only one 25 minute episode... Hope this is better.

"The story takes place in the world where both science and magic has advanced. Arkham City is a metropolises prospered by highly advanced magic. However it is threatened by a criminal syndicate Black Lodge. They set the Master Telion, who is the greatest wizard as well as the worst criminal, up as the leader, and they give free reign to their desire to rampage the city. [Ryllharu]

From a series based off a game that spawned a considerable amount of figurines and the like, I expected a lot more. The premise is interesting, and some of the characters have potential (others still hold a status beyond hatred, annoying guitar player). This series suffers from a lot though. The animation is at times good, but more often sub-par. The animation style I find particularly irritating, which is very rare for me (only happened before on Kyo Kara Maou).

Most importantly, the pacing sucks. I've had an easier time following a 4Kids edit on the WB or FOX. The eps jumps from one thing to the next at such rapidfire pace, that it becomes rather difficult to follow what's going on. The material in this eps would have been better spread across two eps. They were somewhat forced to do it in hopes to capture the interest of the audience, but it was done in such a way that the plot suffered tremendously.

I was interested in what this series was about, but from the looks of things, this series is a dud.

Well I finished watching the first episode and I completely agree with Ryllharu's assessment...the pacing is horrible though I think they could make it work if they slow it down. I think I'll drop this series unless there's a drastic improvement with the upcoming episodes.

i just watched ep1 and i have to agree its moving just a tad to fast its like watching lCrono Crusaide/Last exile/bigO/salormoon/and gash bell all at once in 10 mins. im hoping this was to shock and make people go "OHHHH AHHHHH" but we will see im dling ep 2 ill post what i think later
