I'm actually going to watch 184 though since Inuzuka Kiba's Long Day sounds like it might have atleast a slight bit of humor in it.

Edit: So it actually wasn't bad for a filler. Somewhat entertaining atleast. The next episode looks gay as fuck though.

This was actually an interesting episode as a specimen. Like has been said, it wasn't bad for a filler, and I mainly attribute that to two factors: There weren't too many action scenes, which have been the weakness of many filler eps. Secondly the episode was very levelheaded: It didn't try too hard in any way. Of course this is also an averaging factor, because without risks you also lose gains.

But Konoha has some nice enemies: Biological warfare with bacteria.

Am I the only one who thought the extremely dramatic narration of the next ep preview was somewhat out of proportion considering what the plot seems to be, and what the video showed..?

Have expectations gotten so low that people think this episode wasn't bad? I'm not ashamed to say that episode 184 was bad...

I know it's filler, yet I still watch. I need a sanity check.

Judging from the Sasuke Chase arc, I'm guessing Akamaru can grow to 200 times his normal size whenever he wants now, and that actually had nothing to do with the virus.

I also liked this episode for reasons I can't quite put my finger on. One shots are usually especially crappy. But I think the best part of this was that, nobody acted out of character. Everything Kiba and the other characters did was exactly what you would expect them to do in a normal episode. No one was stupider than they should be(Naruto was exactly as stupid as he always is).

Honestly though, it sounded like the mission Kiba had before this episode that they DIDN'T show was alot more interesting than this episode.

i don't quite remember akamaru getting that big... naruto almost look like an Ant to him...

How did Kiba steal Akamaru if he was under the supervision of an Anbu team? Also is Kiba that silly to steal a dog that took out an anbu team and think he can control it himself?

I disliked this episode not for being filler or for being in bad quality but there were too many errors in logic and ability.

i'll be honest, it was pretty crappy, but I still enjoyed it for the most part. Kiba is still one of my favorite Konoha nins and it was actually an interesting idea for a filler episode.

lmao at Naruto getting it 'doggystyle' from Akamaru.

Looks like they're going for the berserk animal theme again in the next episode... but shots of young Sannins is promising. I'm intrigued to see more about their pasts together, even if it's just useless crap they throw in for the fillers.

This wasn't bad at all. Certainly better than the Star Village arc, but at some points it seemed like they were cramming in the storyline just so they'd finish it in one episode. It was still good, I think.

The next one seems... um... interesting. The storyline sounds kind of lame but the fact that we get to see the Three Sannin as kids will make it worth it for me.

I actually liked this episode. As has already been said, it didn't try too hard to be more than it is - a one-shot filler. That is the reason to why it was enjoyable.

Kiba should be the main character of the series. (but only if Neji can't)

If they combine to form a giant two-headed dog, it wouldn't be surprising if Akamaru could turn into a giant dog on his own, and Kiba just provided a second head.

The chibi (if i'm using the term wrong go fuck yourself) Oro preview makes this whole episode worth downloading. My new filler judgement criteria is does it make me want to gouge out my eyes. Many of them do, so since I sat through this one unmoved I will call it a sucessful filler and promptly forget it happened.

They used bacteria not virus. The increasing body was supposed to be dramatic. Yeah people that can walk on water, shoot fireballs out of their mouth, or hypnotize you are all believable, too. The Konoha syringe was the only real interesting part in this episode. It is a fake and they were too lazy to draw a real one. It's pressurizer plunge was backwards and connected to the needle which somehow slides forward yet still works as intended, dubious.

You should be writing the plot for the fillers. It would be psychotic and stupid, but at least it would be funny sometimes.

Its been stated already but I just got around to watching this episode. Honestly this wasn't all that bad as filler if we had gotten episodes like this about the each character where Naruto didn't have to be the main character of every episode I think overall this would be more bearable.

I'm not looking forward to the next episode the preview looks absolutely horrible, but the preview for this one was also pretty bad so I hope I'm pleasently surprized yet again.

I mean I think back to the sasuke chase arc, every single episode of the chuunin exam or even the Zabuza arc and try to compare.
So while this episode did well in not making things absurd but kept it simple which was good, it was like staying home to listen to AM radio rather than going out to a New York movie premier. There is some good things on AM radio but there is more of a bang at a premier. I liked and at the same time was disappointed by it.

although i've been tolerating naruto fillers up to now, i have to say that now i'm even getting sick and tired of these fillers. i mean this epi was ok, but the preview for the next epi talks about the sannin encountering some furry beast and now naruto carries one around on his shoulder?

it seems like they're doing a bunch of 1 epi filler arcs now (which is alot better than what we've seen with the baka brothers, curry of life, star village, etc) but filler is filler, and we've seen waaay too many...

seriously though..this ep was ok..at least as good as a ton of non-filler eps. Most people seem more down about the fact that your getting fillers instead of arcs from the manga

Meh, I guess the episode was pretty enjoyable.

The next one seems to have potential for both good and bad. On the plus side, we get flashbacks to the sannin as kids, on the minus side, it's probabally some dumb yeti plot in which Naruto rasengans a yeti.

I watched the entire ep in about three mintues. Even on fastforward this ep was really dump. They need to give an ETA of when they'll pick back up with the original story line so i can stop wasting sapce on my hard drive.

It was a nice episode after all.
Good animation (star village's animation was evil)
Naruto's kage bunshin created more clones than his tajuu one from star village
And we are able to see Inuzuka Hana.

Next episode will be acceptable just becase of the young sannin

Now that was a good filler episode! Short and sweet. Hell, it even managed to touch me slightly. Lots of respect gained for Kiba, too.

But to follow tradition and whine about something, I have to say that some of the flashbacks were quite poorly arranged. I also believe part of why I enjoyed it so much was that Naruto only had a minor part.

What made me giggle was half of this episode was devoted to revealing who was part of the pursuit team even though they showed who was so OBVIOUSLY Kiba's sister throughout the episode. All they didn't show was from the nose up. Was I supposed to watch her be revealed and say HOLY SHIT IT"S KIBA'S SISTER!?

Yeah that was painfully obvious, because for the person to be a surprise, it would have to be a character previously shown, and well, there's only one in the episode. For really, Kiba's sister and her dogs were the only good things in this episode to me.

Maybe one of the reasons I can't really enjoy the fillers is knowing that nothing special will come out of it. eg. no one will die, no important characters will appear, no changes will be made to characters. Thus, I know Akamaru will live on. It's this type of mentality that's preventing me from enjoying the fillers...... At least the end is near.

What strikes me is that Akamaru is the only dog that can perform jutsu. I'm surprised that Kiba's sister's dogs can't grow larger or do some awesome dog jutsu.

Are you asking for new jutsus never seen before to the filler script writers? Have you gone nuts? Remember Hinatas lightsaber jutsu!! Why would you want them to destroy such an awesome character as kibas sister? I cant even imagine what they could pull off, 3 dogs combination and metamorphose into nindogtron! And kibas sister in the cockpit! :eek:

Jokes aside, the less they mess with the real naruto world and its already crumbling consistency the better.

When the fillers started, I never thought I'd even stop watching no matter how bad it got, but now it's been months since I watched an episode. Am I missing anything? Doesn't look like it from what I see here. Will there be a thread saying when the fillers are over? How will I know when to start watching again?

There will definately be a Fillers Over Rejoice! topic when the fillers end, however I have decided to assume they'll never end and the show will go Kenshin soon and die. But if I'm wrong don't worry, you'll know.
