Title: sin in the rain

"It is raining in the Tokyo at night. A woman is wandering soaked to the skin. Her name is Kimura Yu. She had a trauma that her parents were killed, and she experienced another tragedy that her reliable councilor, Kanzaki, was killed miserably. The person who suddenly appears in the rain and saves Yu is a detective, Takamizawa Kyosuke.
An officer, Oki, suspects Yu and investigates her persistently. However, consecutive murders occur as if the criminal mocked at him.
In the background of the case Mizuno, the classmate, is seen off and on.
Suffered from the thought that it was her who killed Kanzaki, she is chasing the criminal with the help of Takamizawa. Meanwhile, they’ll find out the criminal of the consecutive murders. Then, the story comes to a shocking end."

Well, I don't exactly know why I downloaded this. The description brought Perfect Blue into my mind - not that there would have been striking similarity but because this genre is not normally one I acquire (despite the fact I have Perfect Blue on DVD...). Anyway, it was decent enough. Highly realistic, design included, which is, I suppose, something short OVAs (or movies) can be more readily than your run-of-the-mill anime tv series.
In general this is a murder mystery with (at least one) interesting characters. The first episode was good enough that I'll probably watch the rest as well. Translation was decent as far as I can judge, although lyrics were missing (dunno why... Maybe this is a side project.).
If you enjoy anime like Perfect Blue or Monster, maybe this is suitable as well. As far as you can tell based on just one episode.
