The old thread for this series was deleted, so I'm creating a new home for discussions on Desperate Housewives.

I was wondering if anyone here is still watching this, I know many watched the first season.

Last episode was great, lots of things happened, won't discuss till I see more people are still watching this. Next episode airs tonight.

Only thing I'm not liking about Season 2 is that Eva was hotter in Season 1.

Humm what is Desperate Housewives:

http://imdb.com/title/tt0410975/
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Desperate_housewives

"Desperate Housewives is an American television series, created by Marc Cherry, that began airing on ABC in 2004, in HDTV. Set on Wisteria Lane in fictional Fairview, Eagle State, the series tracks the lives of four housewives, following their domestic struggles while several mysteries involving their husbands, friends and neighbors unfold in the background. The tone and style of the series combine elements of drama, comedy, mystery, soap opera and satire."

I hope this answers your question, and I pity the fool who doesn't know what Desperate Housewives is.

I agree, Eva was hotter in Season 1. Her hair is just... weird now.

I'd like to discuss the show but I'm not up to date with the US, my country gets shit later than everyone else. :(

Currently in the process of d/ling ahead of schedule though.

Hopefully next Sunday a new episode will air.

Yesterday's episode was OK.

I was hoping that Mike would kick that doctor's ass, but nothing really happened. That mother who was breast feeding her 5 year old kid was awesome, I loved it when he went "I'm thirsty".

Jesus, Bud watches EVERY anime in existance yet finds time to watch random sitcomesque shows. Dude must be glued to the monitor.

Eh, as for this show, haven't seen more than bits and pieces... liked what I've seen though, more or less.

I watched 20 minutes once because my friends girlfriend was gonna miss it since she didn't have cable, and it was the most boring thing I've ever seen in my fucking life. Everything is ridiculous, nothing is funny, and women are so dumb sometimes.

Jadugar I had to explain that to another weirdo person I know who didn't like 24.. you just can't watch one episode in the middle and expect it to be action packed, its all connected and sometimes it has to have some pacing.

You posted that on the 24 thread... Not that I'm comparing 24 to this, since 24 is leagues better... But, watching some random episode doesn't accurately represent what the show is about. Most of the charm of the show is how little things and occurrences are coincidentally related to other little things and occurrences… all leading up to a big issue/conspiracy/dilemma. Plus, some of the housewives are hot, and that should be enough to keep you watching.

Ok I'm caught up to the latest US episode. Mike seems to become cooler every time we see him and that doctor gets wimpier somehow.

And lookout Danielle, big bad Caleb is gonna getcha!

Are you sure you caught up? You seem to be talking about the episode from last week, not the one from this Sunday...

Heh. After making that post I went and saw the most recent, having not realized previously that it had been released.

Edit: So now what, Mike will want to take Susan back but she'll have reservations due to feelings for her ex-husband? And Julie will throw a teenage drama fit and demand she goes with Mike?

This storyline with Carlos and Gabrielle seems very reminiscent of what happened with Zach and Paul/Mary-Alice Young, the whole stolen-baby-from-white-trash angle. Could the same thing happen again 15 years down the track?

I love Lynette's character, how she can always seem to sense the truth about people and the way she does what is right even if it means bending the rules a bit.

I was thinking the same thing when Carlons and Gabrielle stole the baby... "Here we go again..." I wish there was more Caleb action in this episode, he has to kill someone before this family leaves the neighborhood. I really wonder what's going through Susan's mind right now, her thinking pattern used to be very predictable, but now I don't know... For sure he truly likes Mike, but having a relationship again with her ex-husband looks pretty attractive right now.

Man, Susan is so dumb, she always gets played.

Loved when the grandparents of Bree's son found the gay porno, it was hillarious.

Also the old lady babysitting talking about how she was being asked about babies and her pussy was awesome also.

I hope Paul kills the nurse bitch, she's ugly.

Just watched the Season 2 Finale... good stuff.

WTF @ Orson! What's his deal? Mike knows something about his past so he runs him down? Or is it to do with Susan? And now he's after Bree? Can't figure that one out.

Looking forward to Season 3 now, anyone know when it's scheduled to air?

Yeah, the season finale was great... the end sure fooled me. I was expecting Carl to be the guy in the car, but nooooooooo, it was the mofo Orson. Who knows what the heck is going through his mind, he seems fucked up. I now wonder why that woman is in the psychiatric hospital, I bet the reason is because of Orson himself.

but i gotta say, bree is my favourtie character in teh series...lol i just love it when she goes nuts...like it so scary but so awesome at the same time...lol like when she totally lost it at rex's funeral or when she started interrorgating the kids at danielles birthday party..lol starts picking on the fat girl..lmao

Well the season premiere was last night, anyone watched it?

Yep, I watched it.

Looks like Bree subconsciously loves these murdering evil types eh. And it's someone even more anal than her, no less, if that's possible.

That single mother of Tom's love-child is so damned annoying I want to smash something expensive. I don't know why Lynette doesn't break her neck.

I don't understand why Susan would want to date someone else if she's supposed to be with Mike, especially since she's caring for him so deeply while he's in that coma. I thought he was the man of her dreams or something. What a 'tard.

So it's been 6 months, and Carlos has been living in a hotel the whole time? Seems a little far-fetched, he should have an apartment or something. Maybe he does and I missed it.

I wanna see more of the Zack story, to see if he does anything with his newly found fortune. I wonder if that whole angle has been closed for now. And of course Paul will have to break out of prison at some point.

Yeah, I'm wondering about Zack too. I also want to know if he's visited Mike at all in these six months. I really hope Mike becomes badass again, and maybe he can become someone very powerful if Zack finances him.

Anyone still watching this?

I don't buy the kid being the chocker, too obvious. My money is on either on his father or on Gaby's niece

Gaby's niece? Oh snaps. That would be interesting, though the niece seems pretty reformed at the moment. Also doesn't seem strong enough to do that. The plot is getting convoluted as usual but this doesn't seem as interesting as the story of the blonde schizo pycho. Also Mike's ex is cool but boring

BTW why didn't Lynette get her tubes tied or the hubby get a vascectomy or both? Them being pregnant is entirely their own fault.

I still watch it, though not at a consistent basis. I watched last season last month. Haven't seen anything of the new season yet. Maybe next weekend.

That was actually covered in a previous episode some time back. Tube tying is major surgery (invasive and recovery time is much longer) so she asked Tom to get a vasectomy, and he balked because he felt like that would be cutting off his manhood. Plus, he told her that if they ever broke up he wanted the option to be able to have more kids if he got remarried. As if four isn't enough already...

Lmao he said that??? How did he ever got her to have sex with him again after that line is beyond me

I've hated this season. They've somehow managed to repeat what happens (with different characters) every. Single. Season.

*Mysterious people move into mysterious house
*Their past doesn't make sense at first, but it's slowly revealed zomg
*The people who seemed guilty at first are liek, innocent
*An 'unlikely couple' has an affair, everyone finds out of course
*Everyone irrationally lies and irrationally reacts to the lies only NONE of it is interesting
*Someone dies but it's no one important
*Snide narrator tries to wrap up the show by saying something clever

Loved this week's episode, the making of a serial killer

Couldn't help but feel sorry for the kid
