A very nice travel blog, I have to say, Psyke. Quite a stretch of text, but it was very interesting and well written from the beginning till the end, with nice pictures (although it didn't give any higher res when you clicked at an image...). It looks like you had jolly good time over there, but at the same time much too little time (and perhaps not enough coins to feed to the machines). Too bad you missed the maid cafe, as it was in your original plans.

Yeah I was quite sad to have only spent a few hours in Akihabara, and didn't have time for the maid cafe. Well at least I saw a few maids and talk to one.... whom rejected my request to have a photo taken together :(

Kraco, the card basically has the following data:
Surname. private name. Perssonal (military ) number, Id number, height (time of my first draft, about two years ago, i've probably gained 5cm since then). date of card production (recuirment date, a year ago), the number of the card itself (nobody cares for it), the date that the card will be no longer valied (one month after the release date).
and down bellow it says that the carrier of the card is a soldier in the obligaited state of the army. as opposed to people who decide to stay in the army after the mandetory three years.

Ah, that was a pancrase match, so it is MMA (Mixed Martial Arts). Think a combination of kick boxing and grappling.

In Finland. There wasn't that much snow in most of Finland during Christmas time, though. In Central Finland, where that pic was taken, there was barely enough to make the ground white. Now we have a bit more snow, though. The global warming is taking its toll.

Although I suppose you don't need global warming to make California snowless! :p

one of the traditions of the jewish people is to act as if greiving in the seven weeks between passover and the following holyday ('Shavuuot', in engilsh wrriten hebrew, no idea what's it called in english). that grief includes not marrying (not followed by these days) during those days and not cutting the hair (also not followed, but much more relevent to the story, since the army accepts that as an excuse not to shave).

I know I come off the wrong way, especially with my reputation, and my word choice, and my penchant for sarcasm, but really, it sucks to be fat. It sucks being around fat people. It sucks having to give up part of your seat because they can't fit into one seat.

When I said "hit the gym", I also meant some of you need to tone up and get active. You'll be sick less often, you'll feel better overall, and you can fight back if someone picks on you. It's a win win situation, you just have to accept that you have a problem first.

I've been to eilat two weeks ago, it's the most south city in israel,and is the best suited place for a summer vaction..

after that, we went to a field trip on the mountains, so i decided to climb over and watch the view from the peak.

Damnit, every time i go out and get real good and hammered at a bar, someone comes along and snaps a photo of me grinning like an idiot. I'm a bit surprised at myself, as I actually remember this photo being taken, yet seem to be contently passive, even happy, in it.
