DVD to XVID converter??

Anyone know a good converter to turn DVD files into a smaller format suitable for data discs? There's a few thing I want on data that seem to be fucking up when I burn the DVD directly over.

you can try virtualdubmod i think. It will make avi's encoded with Xvid

What you're looking for are rippers. I suggest DVD Decrypter to rip those .VOB files off your DVD. Then use Virtualdub or Virtualdub Mod (I recommend this one) to encode the stuff to XviD or DivX. You'll have to learn your way around it. There are many tutorials on the web for this kind of stuff.
