It's been out for a while, but has anyone played this pseudo sequel to Disgaea and Phantom Brave?

I'm unemployed now, and just ordered this game in the hopes of it being able to fill my time like Disgaea did.

So, anyone likey? You can talk about other Nippon Ichi strategy RPGs here too if ya want.

It's pretty good, except kinda short. Funny too i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif

And it's for the PS2 and it has that Phantom Brave movement system thing.

Well, it's not short if you try to reach lvl 9999 right? i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif

Ultx, http://www.gamespot.com/ps2/rp...html?q=makai%20kingdom (http://www.gamespot.com/ps2/rpg/makaikingdomchroniclesofthesacredtome/review.html?q=makai%20kingdom)

I guess a nice comparison to how the games play would be Final Fantasy Tactics.

It's an overall good game, though it's design feels a bit rushed. It's story just doesn't feel as well fleshed out as Disgaea's...

Though, power levelling in this game really is no problem at all, in fact getting to lvl9999 is something that can be achieved in a mere couple of hours. Building up a grand total of 65000+ levels to completely max the potential for any given character, however, takes a good long while.

The max lvl isn't 9999 anymore? o_O

My apologies, let me clarify what I meant in the last post.

Assuming you want to exploit the Reincarnation system to its utmost, each time you reincarnate a character, the lvls that character built up will be stored in a sort of grand total. This total is used to determine how many extra bonus stat points you can attribute to that character in its next life. Thus, bagging 65000+lvls through many reincarnation cycles will grant that character the most points.
