"Kagemori Mamoru is a dowdy boy whose hair is disheveled and wearing thick glasses. But actually he is the son of a ninja family. They have protected their neighbor, Konnyaku family, secretly for 400 years. Mamori has also protected the daughter, Konnyaku Yuna, since they were in the kindergarten. When Yuna is in trouble, Mamoru puts on ninja suit quickly, and he turns into a competent ninja to help her.

1st ep. was quite decent...we got machine guns, girls, ninjas, Mamoru, etc...

...but there still is something about the series that doesn't feel right...ohh...I guess is the fact that our male lead character (Mamoru) has glasses that resemble two "cinnamon rolls" + the glasses thickness make us unable to see through them...no eyes visible; quite disturbing...but yea, only when he is in his "normal-mode", once he puts his ninja outfit, he totally turns for the better (ex: he is able to cut bullets with his sword...just outrageous...haha)

Hmm...still not sure about this one...but who knows, it might turn alright and fun to watch as a predictable light-hearted comedy/romance series.

First episode was decent, but I think I'll wait till the 2nd or 3rd before actually deciding whether I like the series or not. Gotta get past all the character introductions and such before you can actually get into a series...

EDIT: ok I see what you mean with the names... anyways... about the show it was mildly entertaining, although i was really laughing at the fact that the shinobi were ridiculously powerful, also that the cut bullet was the whole thing (with the charge and all) and that everyone except the main actor and the green haired girl are complete idiots.

I have to state... Ep 2 was funny!, ep 1 i found so so... but now i'm gonna keep watching this!!! Tsubaki is as bad as Yuna...
as for the sub... It's not really good (OOM)... timing is too fast, and their explanations go way too fast (although it might be hard to do, i dunno). image quality is normal, so is sound. its watchable, that's for sure

I still recomend the Scramble! version over the others, and from what I see they are composed from some good old staff that did fansubbing for Onigiri, Froth-Bite, among others.

Sort of. They are present in a lot of fiction.
The fact that Hattori Hanzo was born in Iga is probably a major reason as to why.

Episode 11 was pretty good...

Sadly, it seems like episode 12 will be the last episode... It was a fairly enjoyable series, I wish there was more of a plot.

I just wish the heroine wasn't so unbearably stupid. At times it made me wonder if this series was worth continuing. This series would be the first time I have ever heard of a character who was stupid enough to fall asleep on the toilet. More than once no less!

For how stupid Yuuna is, as mentioned, to the point of making the series seem unwatchable at times, the rest of the writing is pretty good. I don't think I've felt sorrier for the secondary characters.

With Yamame at least, you know it would never happen so I never really felt too bad for her, and Hotaru just isn't in the series enough to warrant sympathy. But with Tsubaki and Airi, I feel pretty bad for them, Airi in particular. Tsubaki was just starting to learn that she liked him, and she's really the only one Mamoru seems to feel comfortable enough to talk to openly with regularity. The other girls seem to trust her as well, so she kinda has to shut her open feelings for him away. Airi, though, really gets the short end of it. She's apparently liked him for a considerable amount of time, but can't really seem to cope with her own feelings either, and lashes out at him (perpetually calling him Ahoru) like elemetary school girls do to their crushes.

I'm curious if they'll get to some of this in the final eps, or finish off with a "back-to-normal with some progress made" ending, typical of all too many harem series.

I thought it was a pretty disappointing. The last eps was fairly anticlimactic, and they even pulled the reset ending.

I liked the rest of the series, but it was a bit of a letdown ending.

Finally decided to watch the last episode, and as you said, it was a big letdown... I was at least expecting some good action/fighting in the last episode, and they couldn't even pull that off correctly. Though I hated the reset ending, at least they did it in an ironic manner, she slipping on a freaking bannana. But even with that, I really hate reset endings, it makes the whole series meaningless. Even if I enjoyed the whole series, this was a mediocre series at best, so it shouldn't be surprising that it ended this way.
