As the research continues, Japanese fishers continue to grapple with another issue: What to do with all the jellyfish they've caught? So far, resourceful anglers have turned their unwanted catch into crab food, fertilizer, and novelty snacksserved dried and salted.
fertilizer?.....
Alright I guess what i know the next fad in japan is going to be Jellyfish novelty snacks!
Seriously thats kind of interesting that they have moved to japan for not much reason at all as well as that title is kind of funny

" The invertebrates are choking fishing nets and poisoning the catch with their toxic stingers, fishers say. And although reports of serious human injury are rare, there are records of people dying from the creature's noxious sting. "

If you had read the beginning of the article, you would have noticed he's attaching a tracking device to the thing. So, he's not retarded. He's doing his job.
I can't but wonder if snacks made out of those creatures are indeed edible...

They already are in a big tank. It's called an ocean. Electrocuting them is a bit harder, though.

Someone photoshop that and add a Goku haircut to the jellyfish and make it go SSJ out of poking RAGE.
Also,
"You guys have OBVIOUSLY never had the joy of poking a shorebound one with a stick..."
Actually I used to toss them back into the water in hopes of them surviving.
Of course, that was when I was a little sissy kid with nothing better to do than to play smart.
In more recent years I've tossed quite a few of them onto rocky ground, they go splash in a funny way.
