I remember waking up on Sundays just to watch this show. I loved this show so much.

I remember collecting the toys from MASK, Centurians and Silverhawks. My Transformers collection came mostly from the Japanese anime though. I also loved the original Ghostbusters cartoon. I also remember the Ninja Turtles and Visionaries, but wasn't too big a fan.

Mister 2 there is correct, Batman: The Animated series was awesome (as seen from my sig). Lets see cartoons this could take a while. These are all the cartoons I remember watching more than one episode of, listed totally randomly and with nothing to do with preference.

All pre 60's cartoons of any merit (Tom & Jerry, Road Runner etc)

Duck Tales
Ghostbusters
Thundercats
Samurai Pizza Cats
About two or 3 different Sonic the Hedgehog cartoons.
Mask
Transformers
Super Mario World
Animaniacs
Bucky O'Hare
Bananaman
Alvin and the Chipmunks
Tailspin
Captain PLANET!
Chip & Dale's Rescue Rangers
Count Duckula
Danger Mouse
Dungeons and Dragons
Superted
Mysterious Cities of Gold
Inspector Gadget
Bikermice from Mars
Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles
Trap Door

And thats all. My memory isn't too bad, but I'm sure thats nowhere near all of them.

LOL, those were all great. This thread is meant to remind people of great old cartoons like that.

@God #2: Batman was pretty good. Better than that new stuff that came out.

Guys, try posting some pics with your choices. It helps people remember.

EXO Squad!

This was one of the most mature cartoons I can remember from my childhood. War, treachery, racism, the dangers of science. This show had it all!

It was set in the future, where man kind had colonized Mars and Venus. They invented a race of 'slaves' that were stronger and could work the harsh climates of Mars and Venus. These blue skinned creatues were called Neo-Sapiens. One day the Neo-Sapiens on Mars revolted and a bloody battle started to quell it. The story of Exo Squad takes place about twenty years afterwards, when the human race is preoccupied with other threats...

This show had action, good character dynamics and was as serious of a war drama as a sci-fi cartoon could get. People died, no joking around, main characters too.

being a cartoon freak i watched pretty much every cartoon already mentioned here. Though a couple more i recall having watched but didn't see posted (and admittedly they may be posted and i simply missed them) was both Voltrons, the mighty orbots, robotech, tiny toon adventures, shirt tales, beavis and butthead, the Mr. T cartoon, that one show with the black water and pirates n stuff and SWAT cats. I was also a big fan of Gatchaman when i was kid but on American TV at that time it was called F-Force or something. Of recent years cancelled cartoons i miss Clone High, Invader Zim, Futurama, Samurai Jack and Time Squad.

I have always hated shows like Tom & Jerry and scooby doo, even when I was 6 their plots were to thin for me. It just made me furious that the fucking mouse always won.

My whole life revolved around Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles when I was around 7. The toys, the show and I painted it all the time. Ahhhhh those were the day.

I really liked Darkwing Duck as well, I remeber that it got banned here in sweden because some kid drop-kicked his friend to death or pushed him down a cliff or something like that.

No one has mentioned Dino Riders, Swamp Thing, Toxic Avengers. There are alot of shows I just don't remeber names of.

There was one show I used to watch. It was set in a like "magical world" with wizards and dragons and shit like that. I remeber that the main badguy was a huge dinosaur or dragon and lived in like a lava-pit or something. Does anyone know what this show is called?

I love Tom and Jerry best cartoon ever created!!!

I still watch it sometims when i see them on cartoon network.

Captain America is the only superhero cartoon i remember watching when i came to sweden. A lame hero but at that age he was ok.

Man, so many shows, so many memories. I don't even want to make a list just in case I leave any out. But I remember most of the stuff that's been listed here.

EDIT: Apparently they changed it to Hero Turtles because there was concern over kids actually knowing what a ninja was. I guess you could say that's all changed today though. i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif

Dennis the Menace.

The live action movie adaptation of the cartoon was surprisingly awesome too. It had a lot of mature sub-plots and character development, and very grounded in a realistic setting. And of course, the hilarious pwning of the thief that ensued at the end of the movie was just comedy diamond -- way beyond comedy gold.

Oh yeah, Darkwing Duck has got to be one of my all time favorites, you've got great taste Aeon. Other favorites include The Smurfs, The Muppet Babies, Garfield and Friends, Aladin (hell, the disney afternoon almost in its entirety), My Little Pony (did I studder?!), Glow Worms, Transformers- The next generation (the one before that too, pre-Optimus Prime death), Heathcliff, Stunt Dogs, James Bond Jr., and a bunch of other stuff not coming to mind. I also liked most of the things mentioned by other people too.

Edit: Oh, and Eek the Cat. That show and its shorts "Terrible Thunder Lizards"...just awesomely funny stuff.

Mae
Mon, 01-02-2006, 07:43 PM
Lol, I had entirely forgot about Eek the Cat, when I was young I thought it was hilarious. And I loved Animaniacs too (Mindy and Buttons was my favorite) Lets see, I also used to watch some of the other stuff mentioned here too, like I remember Darkwing Duck was on TV almost continuously, seemed like whenever I turned it on it was either that or Duck Tales.

Was there a Godzilla cartoon? I seem to remember this from quite long ago. The main characters lived on a ship and could somehow summon Godzilla to fight for them whenever they were threatened by giant monsters...

And for something a little more recent, The Tick was pretty damn funny. I don't watch much TV these days because it's so much easier to just keep stuff on my hard drive to watch whenever you have the time for it instead of trying to make sure you turn on the television at precisely 8:00 or whatever. And no commercials.

for people who wanted all of beast wars/beast machines episodes, I found a way. There are no torrents with healthy seeders so I had to use DC++, which is a relatively easy program. I got all the episodes of both shows (decent quality).

download: DC++ (http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/dcplusplus/DCPlusPlus-0.674.exe?download)

and connect to Iacon Hub (http://www.iaconhub.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=949) (some kind of transformers hub)

I did this a while ago, so im not sure if it has changed. Its basically a file sharing program where you can search files of all the users in all the hubs you are connected to and download files from others. Most hubs require a certain amount of sharing (2-5 gb) of video/whatever.

Iacon's FAQ list (http://www.iaconhub.com/faq.html)

if you need help you can pm me or something.

You can also connect to various anime hubs for old animes that people might share.

The Secret of NIMH was a great movie. I think I watched that one as many times as I watched the My Little Pony movie and the Care Bears movie. Oh, and let's not forget Rainbow Brite and The Last Unicorn.

OMG I had totally forgotten about the carebears! I'd like to give a shout out to my homie Brave Heart Lion, who was so bad ass, he didn't NEED to be a bear to be a care bear. That's right!

That movie sucked compared to the book it was based on.

I remember most of the shows people have listed. I think Mighty Max was one of my top favorites, though. I remember the last few episodes of that show so well (like Virgil becoming "evil", and that talking English monkey).

EDIT: Apparently they changed it to Hero Turtles because there was concern over kids actually knowing what a ninja was. I guess you could say that's all changed today though.
