Glassy Ocean (http://www.thejollyroger.org/tracker/torrents/%5BJR%5D_Glassy_Ocean_%5BXviD_AC3%5D_%5BF6736E16%5 D.avi.torrent)

Well, I have no clue what this thing is about.

Anime News Network doesn't have any screenshots or any information on it except for the cast and characters.
On guy is Karin from DBZ, and most recognizable as Happosai from Ranma 1/2 and Left Hand from Vampire Hunter D. The narrator and all the other charactes are names I've never seen before.

The only thing stated about this movie from the sub group (Jolly Roger), is that its by the creator of Ursa Minor Blue.

Anyone else care to indulge in this unknown? I'm jumping right in.

Edit: http://plaza.bunka.go.jp/engli...10/sakuhin/kujira.html (http://plaza.bunka.go.jp/english/festival/backnumber/10/sakuhin/kujira.html)
it won First Place at a film festival back in 1998. My DL is going pretty slow, but I have a feeling its like an independent short film.

... uhm... the art is... different. and uh... what the hell did they smoke??? really...

okay... so first... the art is simple as hell... the story seems extremely abstract and well, i have to say, this is not for me (its only half an hour long tho... its high quality)... sound is very good tho...

but this show is not for me... at all... it scares me

EDIT: I just saw a pterosaur on a giant clock in the middle of a river.... i guess this could become an interesting watch if you are with friends, drunk, and try analyzing every frame of it...

hehe, best movie of the year i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif but, seriously, it was kinda weird, but it says it's kind of meant as a poem or so.
certainly was original in a way. At first I thought it would be a kinda abstract Moby Dick movie. I'll try and post some screenshots

this should be enough to give you an impression of the art

Wow, I honestly thought this was pretty cool.

I apologize for originally posting it with the additional title of "Anime Movie" as it really doesn't fall into that genre at all.

Poetry in motion. This is a welcome change to the action/drama oriented shows and all the cliches that are prevalent in many anime. I recommend being in an open and possibly substance-influenced state before watching this one.
