Info on the anime:

The main character Tohno Shiki, was involved in a large accident in his childhood. He was severely injured that it was thought he was dead, but miraculously survived. However, due to that incident, Shiki is sent away from the Tohno household, and is entrusted into the care of a distant relative's family.

There was a secret to Shiki. Ever since the accident -- lines at which things break easily could be seen. If a blade could be passed through the line, anything could easily be severed.

Troubled with this ability, young Shiki is given a pair of glasses by a lady he meets (Shiki calls her "Teacher"), which stops the "lines of death" from being seen. Thanks to that, Shiki was able to live normally up until now. And he was planned to live normally from now on too.

But then, a letter to Shiki arrives. The head of the Tohno Household's - his father's - died. By orders of the new head of the household, he must return at once to the Tohno house.

This story begins when Shiki, now a High School Student, returns to the Tohno Household.

Just to let you know this Series has to deal with Vampires, I like this anime b/c the way things are play out.

Pretty good show but there was so much wasted potential and missing story elements that made the game(s) so good.

I agree w/Terra. There was a lot left out of the massive world that Type-Moon created in Tsukihime.

Still, as a standalone show, it was a very complete and entertaining series. And Akiha looked better in the anime than in the game. More mature and dignified.

I though that they could have made a better ending. (did the real brother killed the entire family)

The problem stemed from the amount of eps they had to do it in. Just a short 12. The game is what, 60 hours of dialogue/text? I still think they did a decent job on it, given the time frame to work in. There was some lacking here and there.

Hopefully, with Fate/Stay Night starting in January with an episode count hopefully higher (I've heard 12, 24, and 26 all from different sources, but as far as I know is more popular than Tsukihime was among the Type-Moon fanbase, so that leads me to believe it will have a larger budget) we'll get another shot at more Type-Moon series.
