Apparently constructive criticism on the ironic lack of creativity for prizes in a creative contest has become synonymous "whining" when brought up in a contest topic, so this thread is for coming up with good prize ideas for futures contests.

Any special priviledges or rewards you feel some winners should recieve over other GW members? Discuss here.

Here's a few ideas I have:
Larger sig space
Ability to use 2 sigs simultaneously
Animated sigs/avatars (with mod approval)
Temp IK status for the fanart forum

I like the lager space and animated sig/avatar ideas.

Actually, now that I think about it. There could be some good potential here.
Like for example, every time you win a contest, your personal sig restriction gets bumped up 10%.
So if you have 40k pixels to work with (400x100), then you'll get 44k pixels to work with (440x100 or 400x110). Then if you win again, you get a 10% increase from 44k, etc.

I like those ideas, especially the animated sig/avatar one. Oh, and I've been told (not here) that any criticism can be considered whining, even when its constructive criticism. God, I wish I had artistic talent now, I want one of those prizes!

Thats quite the conspirasy now i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif

But it really does have a lot of potential as encouragement for the contests.

EDIT @ BELLOW: Assertn is so selfless i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif

Heh. Except whining is usually a selfish concept, while constructive criticism is altruistic.
I don't expect to compete in many contests in the near future. So I don't do this for my own sake.

I am with Assertn on this one.

I would like to get my hands on an animated sig/avatar but I am no good with photoshop. These compititions need to have a wide range and variety so everybody can join and win it.

Uh...if your not good at photoshop thats not our fault. Its a photoshop contest so either get better or just go away.

Is there any way you could have a 'Rookie' or 'Beginner' section for those of us who are just getting started with sigs? I would like to enter, but my talent/experience is lacking. Anyhow, I really like the idea of an animated avatar and/or larger sig size for the winner.

I like the idea of size extension because its something that can be stackable....cause what would a winner with a custom title want with another custom title? or an animated sig for that matter?

I'd like a custom title and size extension. i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif

Only real problem about it is when newbies start thinking that everybody can have these enlarged sigs i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif
