"Based on Barasui`s manga series, Ichigo Mashimaro follows the life of Nobue Itoh, her younger sister Chika, and her friends. The basic premise of the show can be summed up in "cute girls do cute things in cute ways", be it trying to quit smoking, going outside to play, celebrating a holiday, or doing school work. "


"Nobue is a 20-year-old Junior College student that smokes too many cigarettes and drinks too many beers. She's also the role model (of sorts) for her little sister Chika and her friends - smart-mouthed Miu, crybaby Matsuri, and English-born Ana (who has forgotten how to speak English). Watch Nobu in her struggle to come up with the cash to buy her daily pack of cigarettes, while keeping those four kids in line."

I actually dled 4 eps but have not gotten around to watching them yet.

It's probably because it didn't show up in Scarywater or Animesuki. Those are the only sites where I look out for anime, so I'm probably speaking for many people as well.
This anime looks really good. I'll give this a shot.

Maybe not as funny as School Rumble or Azumanga but is alright

Well using only those 2 sources is kinda stupid since they only have unlicensed anime...

Anyways, I just watched the first 2 episodes... I liked them kinda funny... Comedy is in a similar style as School Rumble... I love the VA's, so that's important in this kind of series...

Hehe, in my case, I just refer to the forums here and see what the popular animes are i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif I failed to mention that earlier.
I've watched the 6 episodes by AnimeYuki, and I really like this anime. It may slow-paced, but it's really funny in a relaxing way.

Just watched episode 6, and this is a very funny series... But I can only watch an episode here and there...

I have to say that the best character is Miu, she's amazing... Without her the show would be pure shit...

Just finished the series, it was an alright way to waste a bit of time. It was slowpaced, but it had a couple of funny moments. At least Miu was cool till the end, she alone really made this series worthwhile. Aside from those funny moments and Miu, this series had nothing of interest for me, still OK to waste a bit of time.

I think I'll have a look at this series. Good old Nanashi should be a good subber.

Although to be honest I have too many series already waiting to be finished... One of them the other strawberry series Ichigo 100%...

Edit: Watched the first episode, and I like it. It's nice every now and then to watch series with younger main characters as that forces some other interests and plot themes.

Edit2: Absolutely worth watching, every episode. I'm going to miss this series.
