Final Fantasy VII - The craze ain't over!

I figure we need a topic like this since DIRGE OF CERBERUS is actually coming around (slated for a march 2006 release in the US). In more recent news concerning this title, androgynous j-popstar Gackt (if you don't know who that is, use google) will voice and motion capture one of the more important characters of the game, in addition to performing 2 original songs for it. Good news for his fans, no doubt.

In other FF7 gaming news, I hope you have already seen the FF7 PS3 tech demo (http://www.gamespot.com/ps3/rpg/finalfantasyvii/media.html?sid=6124987&mode=gameplay&autoplay=6124 987), which is a remake of the original FF7 opening CG movie - but for the PS3 of course. VERY sexy, and sparks new hope for a complete remake of the title (something the fans have been screaming for in many years now).

I wish FF6 had this kind of popularity, what wouldn't I give for a "Locke's Great Treasure Hunt" game, complete with sleazy humor, thievery and stupid mini-games involving the sexiest thief ever!

And, yes, the PS3 tech demo is so far only that, a tech demo, but I honestly think its the appetizer setting the tone for the main dish to come... Entree: FF7 remake, buon appettite!

the new ff7 looks pretty badass to me. the remake anyway. I never got into the first one because by the time i did i just couldn't get into it because of the horid graphics. So if this ever comes out it'll be perfect.

I love FFVII to no end and I'll surely buy Dirge of Cerberus and the new remake if they do it but with all those FFVII releases that are coming I fear that Sony will start to exploit FFVII. It's a game for the Foma i900 mobile phone(the phone that Cloud had in the movie) that's only available in Japan. It's a prequel and you play as the Turks. It mainly focuses on the advancement of the Turks in Midgar up to the events of Final Fantasy VII.

JESUS. Man, I am looking forward to this so much more than I ever did for Advent Children.

Vincent is so "¤=)""¤("/"¤("¤?=) BADASS. And the gameplay looks so awesome, I love the mix between shoot 'em up and RPG elements.
Graphics, movies... everything is looking unbelievable. I just hope the actual story will be worth it and not just be another attempt to produce cheap fanservice.

I never liked Gackt, but this new song of his is pretty cool.

I think that Gackt, honestly, produces semi-generic rock with an emo twist and is famous because of looking good (TOO good in fact, he should die, that fucking bastard) and being an ex-member of the highly overrated Malice Mizer. Well his voice is pretty good too. But yeah, boring music, overrated guy, another story.

Oh and Vincent is incredibly sexy.

And Yuffie sucked. Her final limit break wasn't powerful enough to keep her around. Cid, Cloud, and Barret had the most damaging ones.

Yuffie is probably the only character in FF7 that I didn't like. I mean, although Cait Sith wasn't great, I did like Reeve.

As for a game featuring Vincent, is Cloud in it? Or Reno? Because those two are the man! (Men? Mans?) And i don't know if i could bear it if they weren't in it.

And Cloud would waste Vincent in a fight. As we have seen, bullets are no match for Cloud!

Can anyone tell me where to download this stuff. Im really desperate after reading the comments and cant wait to play FF6 and FF7. I know... it might be a bit late but I stll want to try them out. ff6 is easier to find, you`ll need a snes emulator (zsnes, snes 9x should work fine) then download the rom from any emulation page

as for ff7... that`s a bit harder... you may download the psx version from torrent or emule as for emulator try emurayden or epsxe, you may as well try the pc version (although is highly buggy on windows XP)

The main menu is very import friendly but everything past that is not and unless you have a translation guide or know Japanese you wont know what's going on. he speaks about Doc and i beated the game already, the controls are kinda unconfortable (lucky you can cuztomize it) the gameplay is not that bad really, the graphics are awsome, you can fully customize your gun and use some materias (fire, thunder, ice) i beated it in 10 hours plus the time it takes to get the G reports (for the secret ending)
