Aww... Certainly one of the character pics I waited for the most (yeah, I'm one of those pitiful Hinata fans...). But her face looks somehow strange. The blush doesn't look very succesful in the drawing, and especially her pose looks very unnatural (though maybe it fits Hinata, after all). But other than that she also looks to have gained a stronger feminine figure, like most females so far. But not terribly much more self-confidence or courage, based on that big! Clothes look better, though, just like with all the characters. Hinata suffered often from even worse clothing than the others.

You can choose to include the filler as part of the "real" story if you want to (I won't, hell, most people would rather beleive the fillers don't exist). But I was saying that the Hinata pictured there is not the same Hinata as we saw in the fillers, because the events of the Bikochu arc never happened in the manga.

Yup, thats the thing with the fillers. They have zero impact (unless, in some god awful lapse of sanity they decide to do a 'throwback' to a filler episode or reference it somehow..., which one can argue would STILL not be part of the actual Naruto storyline, just being a branch of the fillers...) on the storyline.

So Ten-ten? We really don't know much about her abilities. Neji's Byakugan might just be able to sense non-living energies (should such a thing even exist). Hell, Lee might even get some kind of tolerance for alcohol (but lets hope he doesnt i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif ) Heck, as been pointed out elsewhere, as far as we know Naruto might still have trouble creating a proper Rasengan (having only done it 3 times in the manga up to this point...tho he'll probably train it in the time jump).

So yes, once the anime goes back to the storyline, forget everything they've shown you for the past couple months. Heck, I'l probably have to go back and reorient myself with the actual non-filler characters...

I plan to do just that. Watch a few older episodes, then the Naruto/Sasuke fight, up to episode 135, and then the new episodes.

And come to think of it, it is kinda disheartening to think that Hinata is probably exactly the same as the last time she was seen in the (manga) storyline - at least in terms of her personality. Maybe she's learned some new Jyuuken techniques to make up for that, though.

I give him props for being one of the few ninjas in Naruto to adopt an almost all-black costume (great for night time attacks and hiding) but that aspect of the show seems to never come into play (Naruto's friggin bright orange suit!) I mean, where the hell can Sakura hide except in a field of flowers? Naruto needs an orange stand to have any hope of taking cover! Hell, even the 'stealth' group of Kiba, Ino and Hinata clash with their natural surroundings (grey, grey and purple)!

Now lets go the heart of the problem. You have got a problem with me posting a picture of Hinata which isnt a post filler.

Go through this thread and you will find that even Assertn has posted pictures of characters which arent post filler pictures just to show the difference in their appearrences.

I took my time out to find a good picture which will give some one joy to look at and something to post about it.

Nah, the official color page didn't have kankuro in it.
I'm not a big fan of her having the protector on her forehead, but it does give her a more professional look.
Her and Kankuro didn't seem to change too noticeably in appearance though.

All 3 of the Sand ninjas are wearing black now. Can you say "night time raid" ? Makes sense, who would want to make an attack in a barren, open place like a desert? The lack of cover, the heat and sudden storms makes daytime operations almost impossible. More ninjas in Naruto should wear the black.

I have also been wondering if Gaara can control MORE sand now that he's older... That could explain the bigger gourd (or he didn't grow or its just a continuity error)

How can you say his outfit is black now? Its a black and white picture, just about any dark color would be shown as black. He wore a very similar outfit in the anime that was brown, so I would assume he is gonna continue wearing brown.

I don't know about that. We'll have to see him next to Naruto. I mean, before the time jump, Naruto was the shortest (ok, maybe Hinata was shorter, but I can't recall) and he finally sprung past Sakura. I think Lee was taller than Naruto before the jump, so if Naruto caught up, I would say he grew the most.
