The fact that nobody replied or seems to be watching RMT is an injustice.

I've been watching the raws and subs for it, and I'm freaking loving every moment of it.

Check it out, people.

I browsed through the first episode, but the group that released it didn't do it for me... I'm waiting for someone else to pick it up right now...

Yeah I'm waiting for another group to sub it. Conclave said they're going to though.

Chachamaru fansubs aren't that great, but it was still better than nothing. They are slowly improving though. I think you should give it a another shot, Budweineken.

I prefer Ayu to do RMT... Not Conclaive.

Chachamaru had to release 4 versions of their second episode... I think I'll skip them for now...

Yeah, I don't really get why they're doing that.. Guess they're really analytical about subs or are doing something wrong with the audio/videos each iteration.

Still, if you're an RM fan, I think settling for the chachamaru subs until a more preferred group like Ayu and/or Conclaive subs it is far better than watching raws and trying to figure out what they're saying.

I'm an impatient guy, and a huge RM fan, so I just get them as they come out. Even the raws.

I loved the original show, and so far RMT, even though it's only gone to 6 episodes so far, has my undivided attention for the rest of the series.

Introducing the new doll of Kanaria, who is of the same make as Hina Ichigo, was a bit disappointing. Of all the dolls, she's one of the plainest of the bunch really, and a complete idiot. Seeing Hina Ichigo's assistant spirit, Berry Bell, for the first time pointed out something to me. Not all the spirits act the same, and they even have personalities. Seeing Sugin Tou back is a great relief, but what confused me is how Otou-sama was able to get her, she was in Jun's dream world, not only that, but she didn't have a box. Also does that mean he gave her a torso? Her deathwish medium also gives me the creeps, even though she seems peaceful, the stare is just too cold.

I have to admit, I was nearly pissing my pants when Barasuishou actually showed emotion, especially that sinister smile. She's gonna be a tough one.

I plan on getting the HQ widescreens later, but for now, AnimeLito will be providing me with my fix.

Word. I'm very pleased that Suigintou made a comeback in the series. This puts the series on a new level of badass-ness.

And I think each dream world is connected, via that giant tree you saw in one of the episodes in season 1. So, technically, the father could go into Juns dream as such. Save the fact that he is the Rozen Maiden creator and his powers probably exceed any dolls so far. That includes Suiseiseki and Souseisekis powers to pry open any dream portal.

That's another thing that bugs me. Rozen created those dolls in the victorian era, and sold to rich and prestigious families. Unless he was immortal, he can't possibly be alive. Then who is this man in the back of the shop making male dolls with the same type of hair? An offspring? A maestro (like Jun)?

Now is Barasuishou's medium the guy who runs the store, or is he the rabbit, or both? Its very confusing. I can't wait until they sub the next ep.

Hotsuma
Mon, 11-28-2005, 08:01 PM
I don't think the father is that bug in the back of the shop. Maybe a descendent? But not the actual father from way back.

Patience, my friend. All will be revealed.

Btw, it's no good to look at the manga, since it goes in a different way than the anime.

redemption2
Mon, 12-05-2005, 02:54 PM
Well episode 7 is downloaded and watched, and wow. That guy must be one ACCURATE descendant, considering he wound that new doll up the same way Rozen did with Shinku, and the doll acted the same way.

Shinku in an apron, trying to bake, I don't know whether to laugh or run. Either way it was the same result. I know she doesn't want to fight anymore, then what's her purpose now? What does she want to do? If she's trying to turn into a wife for Jun, I'd LLAMA myself all the way to the hospital.

We get to see Kanaria's magical item, her violent violin, and she does have quite a few tricks up her sleeve. Many more than I would have thought. She's still a complete ditz. I think her medium is even scarier than DeathWish Girl. Talk about a mood swing, hell that's not even a mood swing that's an entirely different personality.

The last part of the show... ladies and gentlemen... I give you... doll fanservice! What thought could never be done has been with this series. Quite honestly, seeing Shinku in something other than red kind of scares me. Of course it would be cute if she was stuffed into a Digiko outfit, but no, Hina Ichigo got the cat paws and ears. Suseiseki's outfit I think was the best of the bunch, with Souseiseki in a close second if she had just tried to enjoy it more.

And in the very last minute of the show, Souseiseki sees a silhouette in the mirror. By the rules of the Alice Game, only the winner gets to see Rozen again. Why would he appear to Souseiseki? *thinks back to last series* oh yeah, she fell into a few traps then too. SOUSEISEKI! IT'S A TRAP! DON'T GO!

Tch, its useless.

Anyway, now for the questions this episode brought up. Why was Jun and Tomoe allowed to see this Rozen-type dude start up this doll? How does it fit in with the plan? Why does SuuginTou always return to her medium's window? What is it that Shinku has realized about herself? And the two most important questions: Will she ever learn how to cook? Will Kanaria melt from the friction that her medium always gives her?

Tune in next week, where we probably won't answer any of these questions and bring up even more.

Sorry for the double post, but I think this is worthy of its own reply.

This show is based on details, and a lot of them, from the food, to the text on a computer screen. You can even tell that the books that Shinku reads is written in German. That being said, I took a look at all 7 episodes of Traumund again, and have come up with an astonishing conclusion!: The Enju Shop's attendant is a doll.

If you examine him closely on his back you will see a hole in his clothing, around the small of his back, right above the apron ties. This wasn't just a one-episode thing either. It's there in every episode that shows his back, even for a glimpse. Also, if you notice, he never shows his back to customers unless he has his hands behind it.

Enju/Rozen/Whoeverthehellthatguyis must have made him to manage the shop while he works. This is getting really weird.

About Souseiseki (spoilers below)

Souseiseki declares an Alice Game against Suiseiseki, and after the fight is over, Suigintou steals the Rosa Mystica from Souseiseki in order to cure Megu.

God, break out the tissues. Episode 9 is like... a heartwrencher. Why is it that Souseiseki had to be so stubborn, and not act for the people right in front of her eyes, instead of someone that is obviously dead and threw her out like trash?

Poor Suiseiseki, I feel for her. Her character is more passionate than the others, developed from that prankster that we saw in the first series.

Did Suugintou always have the power to make that kind of N-Field? It's creepy.

Looking at the previews, I'll need a box of tissues. Hina Ichigo is going back to Tomoe, and she's suffering. Is her spring winding down? Is she broken? Has she relinquished her bond with Shinku? All this and more....

GAH! Please don't tell me I have to wait until January 12th for the next one!

Hotsuma
Mon, 12-19-2005, 01:24 AM
Yeah, Suiseiseki really is the shy and timid doll that Shinku said she was in the first season. This episode was an emotional one -- which, coupled with an nicely timed BGM, N-field palette, and nicely animated fight scenes, make this one of the best episodes in the series.

Rie Tanaka is so awesome as Suigintou... She just makes her sound so villainous... Just perfect, if you ask me. However, it's nice to see that she's fighting for something other than just herself now. And yes, she can make that type of N-field. Remember, an N-field reflects the personality of the creator. Suigintou, of course, is an exceptionally powerful doll.

Yes, you do have to wait until the 12th for the next episode.

*Dies* NO! I need my RM:T fix! I'll be going through withdrawl for two weeks?!

Anyway, I agree with you on Rie Tanaka. Because of her skill as a vocalist she's able to twist her voice into many different versions. The softhearted Lacus Clyne (I think she held her nose while doing her voice). The extravogant Meer/Mia Campbell (on the early episodes of GSD before she was introduced Rie added a little of her to Lacus's voice as a test, I noticed.) The darkhearted Suugintou (although in the last episode of RM, she switched to the exhasperated Meer for her last scene.) and many others, especially like the kind adult woman version, which she uses a lot in anime. Suugintou was actually the first time I've heard her do a creepy one, and I gotta admit I'm definately impressed.

Actually I think all of them are rather well casted. Jun, though a female in real life, pulls off the male shounen part well, especially the I'm-pissed-off voice. Quite honestly, if they brought this series to the US, I'd go and sign up for auditions to play Jun. I can't really see Nori having a different voice, the slightly ditziness is captured in the voice well. Shinku... come on, she's Digiko and Mint, how can you not have a good voice with listings like that? I mean she's living Mint's ultimate dream, wearing an outfit like that. Hina Ichigo, well done, but annoying after hearing the screechings for a while. I also wish she could sing a little better. The twin team works great together, and they each reflect their own personalities well, especially when Souseiseki says something with a straight face. I even was on the floor in tears when I heard Suiseiseki's old-crone performance in the Snow White skit. Barasuishou is quite honestly scarier than Suugintou when it comes to the voice. At first it was just a blank emotionless voice, but when she turns sinister, I can almost see a snake tongue coming out of her mouth. The only one I don't like is Kanaria, but then again, I don't like Kanaria to begin with, so I'm partial.

Well I'd say I've jibberjabbered enough for now. Matta ne.

I'll be honest. I didn't think that those three would reveal their secrets until episode 12, as a part of the climax for the end, but instead the bastard bunny, the blank bitch, and the blonde bug reveal themselves now....

Not only that, but Barasuishou's preview didn't help at all, other than revealing that she has a sword.

Noooooooooo@Episode 11

I seriously dunno what's going to happen. It's pretty much anybodys game now (but it leans in favour of Shinku, it seems... Though Barasuishou is definitely stronger now). I wish the Alice game would be explained already, dammit. And Suigintou, amazingly, has yet to be OOC, despite what Shinku said to her. Great character.. And she even used her sword in ep 11!

Ryllharu
Fri, 01-20-2006, 06:52 AM
OOC? "out of control" maybe? My weakness is non-standard acronyms.

I thought Shinku explained the Alice Game to Jun in the first season.

All of the dolls fight each other, as it was the only way that Enju/whatever his other names are, could find to create 'the perfect girl.' That's why it was sad when you found out Suigintou was broken and uncompleted, and Shinku had said Suigintou's feelings for their father were the most pure. Suigintou had wanted to prove to their father that despite her broken/unfinished status, that she was capable of being prefect too.

As the dolls fight each other, they steal the others' Roza Mystica. When one of the dolls has all of them, and the rest are turned into junk, and Alice, the perfect girl, is born. That's the winged girl breaking out of the egg they show in the opening of the first season and at various other places in this one.

That's the end of it, as their father would have created the perfect daughter. The Alice Game is the one any only, end all purpose to their existence, at least according to the the others not allied with Shinku.

Hotsuma
Fri, 01-20-2006, 09:32 AM
Yeah, I know that much. But if you watched Traumend, it seemed that the dolls are hesitant about it now, and even Rozen didn't seem to enjoy it all that much. This leads me to believe there's more to Alice game than meets the eye.

Ryllharu
Fri, 01-20-2006, 10:20 AM
Only Shinku and her allies (Suiseiseki, Hina Ichigo, Kanaria) were that hesitant about it. Hina Ichigo didn't really seem to care about it at all, as long as she was having fun, and Kanaria just didn't want to leave (whatever that crazy OL's name is, I forgot it). Suiseiseki didn't want to fight after realizing she'd need to fight her sister, and Shinku was more than willing to participate until after she had killed Suigintou and realized what the consquences of the Alice game.

As for the others, Souseiseki was driven back into it (given it was a trick by Barasuishou) by feeling sorry for avoiding their purpose and making their father sad, a view Shinku supported until she had killed Suigintou. Suigintou is driven by gathering enough Roza Mystica to save Megu, someone she she sympathizes with. Barasuishou seems to be motivated only in finally moving the Alice game along.

The smile Rozen gave at the end of eps 10 seemed like he was either glad that he could see them again or that he was just as glad the Alice game was finally making some progress.

But I haven't seen 11, so I suppose I might see things differently then.

downloaded, and attempted to enjoy... which is basically impossible after seeing what happens. Someone want to explain to me why Kanaria's attacks, which were so powerful in the beginning, now don't do shit?

And we never got to see Suiseiseki's true powers with a medium, unlike how we saw Shinku and Jun in series one.

Jun should really be in the frontline with Shinku right now. With her being the only one left and all, his powers are necessary.

Laplace is obviously not happy at all with the situation, as we saw as when he was sitting in the tree.

Just one more day before broadcast day. Is anyone else totally confused as to how this is going to turn out? How is it possible that they could keep us guessing to the very end? I mean in series one it was pretty easy to tell how things would turn out. But now that we have a 3 way battle going on, with the score of Bara = 2, Gin = 1, Shinku = 1. But Bara is obviously going to be disqualified because of the arm, unless she gets healed.

GAH! I'm going nuts here! I can hardly wait. AnimeLito better do a speedsub on this one.

Hmm... I was afraid it would have this kind of ending, the least surprising, the most safe. Well, it wasn't bad, but not brilliant either.

this series is great!

did you know? i just read that the manga seems to be a lot different than the anime.
the manga was stopped for some reason but a company(or manga author) said they want to resume it (forgot the name, the news is pretty much up to date)
from what i remember it is shown in a weekly magazine (it started yesterday
17th april 2008)

ah yes here "At the beginning of April, Peach-pit announced that Rozen Maiden will be published in another magazine called Young Jump. The April 17, 2008 issue had in fact confirmed this, as the manga will be released in the 20th issue."

and yea it really looks like there will be another season... or at least it was planned... because we know nearly nothing about the laplace-demon, about the seventh doll, the one with the rose in her eye at the end of the last episode which was flowing together with laplace in the N-field.

and we don't know what that laplace demon wants to do with the 2 rosa-mystica of Hina and Souseki.

ya i m looking forward to it.. someday there will be another season for sure! i really want to know more about the seventh doll, why is she the only one who wasn't fighting, or even shown? (only for 5 seconds) and what is she planning? it seems like she is working together with the laplace-demon.

Yes, the manga was cancelled or something, but it's returning now. You can read about it here:
http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2008-03-24/rozen-maiden-confirmed-to-restart-in-young-jump-mag

As for a sequel, other than the OVA that came out last year Ouverture, I haven't heard anything else.

KrayZ33

thats really nice because i'm looking for the manga at the moment, since it is licensed it is nearly impossible to find it on the internet.. so i wondered if it was worth buying, when i read something about that it ended with a deus ex machina i stopped thinking about it...

now that i read that they are going to finish(?) it i'm thinking about it again.
its one of those rare mangas which is avaible in germany, too..
(up to the 7th volume and the 8th comming next month or so)
it can't be that bad then because most mangas are dropped very fast here. it means alot!

edit: oops this is not the manga-forum

Ryllharu

I also hadn't heard of any plans of sequels beyond Ouvertuere, which was more or less flashback.

KrayZ33
Fri, 04-18-2008, 05:11 PM
well thats because the manga ended similiar to the anime... there are differences but both ended like this.
no real answers given etc.

they wanted to wait a bit probably? or thought "well since there is no manga, there is also no material to use"... i don't know how those people work if they make an anime out of a manga.
but i thought they only use what they have and since there is nothing to use, they dropped it as "finished" or something like that.

probably, just probably, when the manga is finished or has more volumes, they will make a sequel
if dreaming is allowed i would like to continue this dream :)

Ryllharu
Fri, 04-18-2008, 05:45 PM
I had thought the manga got significantly further into their little Alice Game, and Barasuishou wasn't in it at all, since it turned out she was a fake in the anime.

I am eager to see how it all ends. I'm still rooting for Suigintou. Her past always made me sympathize with her since the end of the first season. Plus I love her foul attitude and the excellent work Rie Tanaka does playing her.

You should definitely see Ouvertuere if you like her even a tiny bit. It is very illuminating.

KrayZ33
Fri, 04-18-2008, 06:33 PM
i already watched it :) yes suigintou is one of my favorite characters... i really like her

and i love it when she touches her face when talking about "father" as if she is ashamed <3.
(she did that also when shinku told her that she can walk elegantly and looks beautiful, thats just too cute for me.)

i pity her for being incomplete, when she "died" in season 1 i was really sad...she tried to hide her missing chest and kept saying "i m not junk" :(
yap suigintou..*cough*, well i didn't post a picture of her in "most desireable anime character"-thread for no reason ^^

uhm i guess i'm not allowed to spoil anything from the manga..(yet i don't know much myself) but the manga isn't that much further into the alice game.
the biggest difference is the 7th doll and what she did/does in the manga. (what she did with hina ichigo for example)

hmm now that i think about it... both, the last episode of season 1 and season 2 were great... the fighting scenes were simply *awesome*..nothing less. i'm still facinated by the fact that i expected a more or less action-less animeseries when I got the anime, but it was more exciting than i could ever have imagined.
and the story is one of my favorites too.. i like these kind of things.

what kind of story is this btw?.. it reminds me of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland
and then there is the well known laplace-demon
this rabbit gets me evertime i see it in the anime, he looks like he's taken directly out of some horror game (i don't know why).
there was a horror-computer-game with a rabbit like him (a bloody one) and that rabbit gave me the chills everytime i saw him in a mirror in the game or when he was standing in a corner mocking me.
