My comment was in reference to how novel you found Mater's name, as if you had only just heard it yesterday. I wasn't talking about movie itself, just the character.

Which is another thing that bugged me about Cars. Tow trucks have nothing to do with tomatoes. I felt like Mater's name was a joke they initially thought was clever but didn't really think through. Yeah, it's a "redneck" word and all that, but it's still a play on words that is absolutely irrelevant.

Oh, and I liked Cars too, but it was still Pixar's weakest movie.

And Cars being the weakest is subjective, since even a bugs life scores lower then Cars on IMDB.

Toy story def has the nostalgia factor, but the humor, emotion and adventure wall-e managed to convey without dialog is just damn impressive, plus it also looks fantastic.

When you watch this, you have to wonder at why there's such a large gap in quality between these and Western CMs.

When I went back to Hong Kong, they generally weren't as good as these, but still much better than aussie CMs.
