American football aint soccer.. it's more like a rugby.. lol.. no techinque at al.. just pure strenght and thats cool also.. But you see fat bastards that play American Football just because they are heavy and can't be moved.. lol.. To bad those big players just can be able to play like 1-2 seasons, then they are incapable of moving themselves anymore..

Still QB are cool they are football and the recivers.. But the blockers.. just big guys..

Still it's cool tackles!

But I prefer soccer.. I played it al my life (and ice-hockey)...

Luckily we don't get ESPN here in sweden. Honestly, what's the deal with baseball and american football. I fall asleep just thinking about those sports. Now don't get me wrong I'm not a big fan of soccer either. The only "sport" that's remotely interesting to watch is fighting, and no lame ass boxing, K1 and such things can be fun sometimes.

The video was kind of cool I guess.

Baseball? lol... That movie about Dodgeball made me think that it actually (still the movie was lame ass) seems more interesting that baseball.. look at the guys playing baseball.. lol...

thats actually not true.. not all fat guys can be linemen, you have to be fast... flexible strong and extremely in shape. and they last just as long in the nfl as any other player.. they dont play 1-2 seasons.. get your facts straight.

It's cool I guess, but soccer still sucks. And isso you're totally wrong, to be a lineman DOES take skill and you DO have to be an athelete, I'm sure most lineman are WAY faster than your boy kicking a ball around.

~1~

isso
Thu, 10-20-2005, 03:43 PM
I don't think so.. they are not faster then him or me.. I know guys who play in Gothenburgs American football team the Mustangs.. They follow american football and these guys due to their big bodies aint fast.. It's impossible.. They are strong.. otherwise they would be recivers..

And come on, you know that it's true..

aznimperialx

SK
Thu, 10-20-2005, 03:49 PM
Whatever kind of European version of football you have is totally different from real football. The thing about being a lineman is you have to be able to move your big body around not just stand around doing nothing. For instance, Warren Sapp was the fastest person on his team in college (he played for Miami.)

And come one, you know nothing about football..

~1~

Thu, 10-20-2005, 03:55 PM
And come one, you know nothing about football..

Lol that one was good, i give you points for that one! i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif

But REAL football is the one we play in Europe, it's older and bigger.. It's something every country, poor and rich, enjoys.. Was created in England, before the US even existed! =)

It has spread over the whole world, it's not a country that hasn't a national football team! =)

Even you Americans have one! ;P

el_boss
Thu, 10-20-2005, 04:38 PM
Why is American football called football anyway? From what I have seen they handle the ball with their hands mostly and use their feet to run, except for when their doing a field goal or what it's called. Soccer is the real football if you go by the name. It should be called american rugby or something.

Krbadass
Thu, 10-20-2005, 04:39 PM
"soccer" is crap in the US. Highly made fun of by most people / Athletes. You run around kicking a ball... sure you have to be fast.. and be able to kick a ball through someones legs.. but its still a panzy sport with little to no contact. If i wanna just watch someone kick something around ill play kick the can ( and possibly have more fun doing it ) It's a wonder football players make 10x the money that soccer players do.. oh not to mention TV ratings are 10000 times greater for football than soccer.

Wow, that was impressive. I love soccer, my favorite teams are 1) Argentina, 2) USA and 3) Czech. I played soccer up till I was 17 when a knee injury took me out for good. Oh well, but Isso, your cousin is defintely talented, no doubt he will go pro. Let me know when that happens, I'll keep an eye for him when watching the games. I have two friends going pro, one is going to sign with some team in France.

About American Football, very briefly, it is the best USA sport EVER! Baseball is just as good, the real thing is that no one can really appreciate a sport unless they like it or have tried it. I find that a lot of people, including myself, consider a sport boring or that it requires no talent. At least I thought that about golf, and now that I'm taking it up as a sport, hitting that little fucking ball seems so simple but it can be the most frustrating thing in the world. I still firmly believe that you need to have played American Style Football to appreciate the complexity and physicalness of it. I've played rugby also, although just pick-up games, and I do admire it for the sheer athletic ability it demands, but I still love the grid iron the best.
