Problem with avatar [Archive]

When I try to upload an avatar in the profile, I get an error message saying that it is an invalid format. I have tried both gif and jpeg but none of them works, I alsp tried making the image smaller. I have looked around at it seems that people have had this problem before, but I could not find any solutions to the problem.

Only Gifs can be used. JPEG's don't work. Make sure the pixel size is 60x60.

I have tried .gif and it rendered the same result as with .jpeg format. As for the size I tried with 60x60 first, since that did not work I changed it to 59x59, but that also didn't work. The image is only 2kb so that can't be the problem either.

It has to be in .gif format. And you have to upload from your harddrive. It does not work to take a image that is on a homepage. At least this is how I solved the problem.
