which series of an anime sports series do you like best?
Examples:
Eyeshield 21 (football)
Play Ball (Baseball)
Buzzer Beater (basketball)
and so on..............
Name the anime series and tell what type of sport it is.

i will take board games as a sport.

Best sports series I've seen are, in no particular order:

Hajime no Ippo
Touch
Major

Those three series embody what a sport series should be...

Hajime no Ippo has great action and comedy

Touch has great drama and romance... and the games are well done...

Major has awesome drama, and coming of age

too bad it ended right in the middle of what they were doing...

But Hanamichi is really the best sports character out there...

Hajime No Ippo is the best anime and manga i have seen.

Then its

Major
Slam Dunk-Hanamichi is the best.
Wild Striker a new fav that im watching right now. The first 25 eps was fun but followed every rule in a sport anime. After ep 25 it got deeper and less predictable which i like. The main charac is knock off of Hanamichi but who cares.

Prince of Tennis i like some characther and some games but the anime is only ok.

Yes, Slam Dunk is still the best sports anime now, even if it's over a decade old.

Hajime no Ippo is easily the best, even after 50+ volumes it doesn't feel old, the anime was to short in my opinion.

Ippo kills every other sport animes. I havent seen characters like Taka,Ippo and co anywhere else.

The anime has one thing that is better than the manga. The music they play when he does Dempsey roll is so awesome.

Dear Boys was pretty good, never really liked Slam Dunk. There was another baseball anime, but I forget the name. I used to watch it when I was little. All the players had this circle badge on them, and the only way to get them out is to throw or touch the badge with the baseball.

hajime no ippo is unmatched in sports anime and let me just say I don't even like boxing.

Without a doubt the first runner up is Slamdunk although it might have done better had it ended.
