View Full Version : What side are you on?

Well basicly which side in the SEED/GSD universe are you on?
Personally i like Blue Cosmos as of now, its obvious that they were right when Coordinators has produced people like Patrick Zala and Gilbert Dullindal. And what the fuck is up with Arthur, isn't he supposed to be a coordinator? Wonder what they did wrong when they made him.

They made him, thats whats wrong. He's a suckie, unimportant character and he should've died.
Back on topic, I'm with ORB. Not the new, crappy ORB, but the one before SEED started.

Blue Cosmos of course, if I was a pilot for them I'd get to hang around with children and corpses and eventually get to hang out and get high on drugs along with Shani i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif

I was gonna choose ZAFT, but they keep losing. :S
Edit: Then again so does Blue Cosmos, because neither of them are affiliated with Lacus

Lol at Drunkenmaster,
My lot falls with the EAF. I feel that someone's got to stick up for the Naturals (but not neccessarily needing to kill all the Coordinators. Blue Cosmos are a little too extreme) although I do think that genetic engineering is a step towards totalitarian ethnic domination...
But I'm going with the EAF just because I could never live up in a place as artificial as a colony. ORB was way too isolationist early in Seed and kept trying to assert their own position without gaining substantial allies when they finally chose to resist EAF (and again in GSD against ZAFT) and nothing pisses me off than family-dominated political control... That and they made a Gundam made from gold... How decedent is that?
So give me an updated Strike with Sword Pack and a platoon of druggies and I'll whoop all your sorry asses back up into the stars were you belong!

For this opinion I would say maybe you could be more specific to "The Eurasian Federation". At the beginning of SEED it was around the same strength as the Atlantic Federation. The difference being that Blue Cosmos ran the The Atlantic Federation. They had been rivals (see the Archangel at Artemis) but they were more or less equal until Operation Spit-Break because the Atlantic Federation pulled out and left mostly Eurasian troops to fight against ZAFT there. (Opinion: I think Rau tipped the EAF off so that the Atlantic Federation could do that, and gain full control over EAF).
That and they made a Gundam made from gold... How decedent is that?
NITPICK: Decadent. A "c" followed by an "e" or an "i" in English has an "s" sound.

Mine gets sort of similar here. I would choose the United States of South America (USSA). They had been sort of on the "ZAFT" side, and the Atlantic Federation conquered them before SEED. However as part of the Junius 7 Treaty ALL nations had their boarders restored to their pre-war state (thus why Orb was reborn).
However, after the final battle of Jachen Due, but before the treaty was signed the USSA started a war for independence led by former EAF soldier (he was a USSA soldier before the conquest) Edward Harrelson AKA "Ed the Ripper" who pilots the red Sword Calamity. He is the kind of leader I would want to follow (really good person, and not too serious when the situation does not require it). The nickname "Ed the Ripper" is acctually not one he wanted, but was stuck too him after the EAF took back the Victoria base (after the Archangel and Kusanagi left Orb in SEED because the EAF needed the Mass Driver to get back into space, which reminds me, why didn't ZAFT follow Orb's lead when they saw they would lose and blow the thing up just to screw the EAF?)

ZAFT, better than EAF in everyway, hotter girls (except for Stellar who is hotter than Luna), cooler MS (Gouf? 'Nuff said), better uniforms, better pilots (got the psycho angle down), better weapons, better madmen (Gil > Azrael). Yeah, ZAFT has got everything.

I'll have to go with Zaft. Zaft at this point has the cooler looking army but they also have a weaker army. I would join to introduce the much needed thing throughout all of Seed. A battle stategist. The only instant of strategy I have seen in a battle is when Shinn kicked Kira's ass. Since Rey knew where Kira was gonna hit I think that his and Kira's battle should have been much more brutal. There was also Ramius but she died. God knows that a brilliant strategist is needed for Seed. Especially on Zaft's side. When an entire army can't handle one two suits and a couple of battle ships then there is a problem. Mwu, Kira and, Athrun are easy prey in acuality. Mwu is the only really big problem. I would also introduce the suit that is needed most in the Zaft forces. A sniper type Zaku/Ginn/whatever. I could wreak complete and utter chaos with a couple platoons of Snipers.

Sweden is possibly the most neutral country in the world, and it's fun that kingdom of scandinavia is such a nice country in GS and GSD... They always help out.. And tey were the first to reject Dullinals Destiny plan..
But I would have been ZAFT al the way.. Hell I think that if i got the chance i would have destroyed earth! It would be a nice way to be remembered!

That's just dumb. Colonies are just crap, a colony can't compare to the real earth. That's why coordinators keeps fighting naturals, they want the earth for themselves. If they can't get it they try to destroy it, it sure is nice to know that a group of peace like the Blue Cosmos is fighting them, if only ORB would admit they were against coordinators to. Everything points at it they didn't lift a finger to try to stop the EAF at any point but they were eager to take Dullindal down.

That's another reason why I picked the Earth. Colonies seem too... unnatural. And it is so true that ZAFT seems to always covet the Earth, even while dismissing Naturals as unfit to rule/exist.

Yea i'll lend you some but the Auel clones i'm keeping for myself. You can get all the Stellars, i don't want those anyway.
I kind of agree a little with Blue Cosmos on the issue of genetic manipulaton. I mean think how the naturals felt when they worked their asses of to get lets say a job and a coordinator gets the job instead because he had been designed to learn more or when a coordinator is taking a naturals place in some kind of sports, the natural worked his ass off to get where he is but the coordinator is just like "no sweat" because he is designed with a better body. It's just unfair and a stupid idea from the start to improve mankind through genetics.
If the Blue Cosmos didn't exist and drove the coordinators into space, the naturals would be working all tough and unwanted jobs. They would be like slaves because they can't compare to the coordinators. Sure there would be a couple of rare talanted naturals but how much space do you think these few would get? Sure the world would look all great and simple when the naturals are gone but that will take a while if they ever would disappear. With people like Dullindal getting to lead the coordinators they would probably have enslaved naturals and used them for their own benefit just like the Blue Cosmos uses the druggies.

Well Azrael did give Rondo (the pilot of the Astray Gold Frame, and one of the Orb leaders) a Sword Calamity, a few other Gundams plus Coordinator/Extended clones to pilot them. It would not be out of character for Blue Cosmos to lend them to a "friend".

You know, that sounds an awful lot like the general basis in X-Men too, where mutants could take jobs because their powers were adventageous to the position (except that they anti-mutant movement is MUCH larger then Blue Cosmos so it can't).

Diffrence is that mutants aren't artifically made, coordinators are. There is absolutly no reason to create coordinators to begin with other than scientists wanting to show that they have advanced the most in the field of genetics.

Before him I'm assuming you mean the begining of SEED. You have the right idea (I did notice the at least, I'm just specifiying). X-Men first started back in 1963 (almost 40 years before SEED. The anti-mutant thing was around from issue 1, but really a year or year and half later in issue 14 with the introduction of Boliver Trask and his Sentinals.

Also with X we don't really know what started the previous war do we? Hard to tell who had been the good guy.

Im definitely for Zaft but secretly for Orb. Zaft, because it's always at the high end. I say this because they are always upgrading, and researching stuffs, so when it comes to technology, i believe they are more advance. Freedom is a proof to that, simply unbeatable not until the unit destiny is made right. i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif And, destiny is also made by Zaft as well. Orb, because they have the ideal to stand neutral and the will to do so. And, another reason of course is... they secretly have the power to upgrade toys. Just look at Strike Freedom, they were able to make it almost godlike. i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif Haha, never to mention when Orb is joined with the Clyne faction, they could conquer Zaft and EA altogether. hehe.
