How good are Bakakozou subs? Compared to DB and Lunar? Anyhow since this is a discussion thread I'd like to say .. Ken = friken savage.

When all those blades came crashing down from Toseen and the other the other Captain (Guy in the heavy armored helmet, which in fact I been waiting to see do something) did his move, I'd figured Ken would move or soemthing.

HELL NO! Stood there and took it. Then what he do? Oh yes, did a friken laugh and pulled the blades out of his body. SAVAGGGGGEE. Anyhow it looks like the next episode Renji is going to do banki on his former captain?

Anyhow I've only done my best reply towards the RAW version. I'm downloaded the Subed versions.

Yeah, I don't think there's any doubt that he reached Ban-Kai...

Though I'm not sure about his clothes changing... For sure they seem different to me, but I don't think it really has anything to do with he reaching ban kai or not... Up until now, the Shinigami clothes have never been considered as a measurement of Shinigami's power... not like the soul slayers "Wow that's a huge soul slayer, he should have a huge amount of spiritual power"

And he said it in the beginning of his training, something along the lines of "I'm just a couple of hours away from reaching my ban kai"... so it's not surprising he's leaving already...

There was a sale at Soul Society's Macy's ... he had to get some new threads.

Anyhow, I could be wrong about the Ban-Kai ... I think he might have achieved it (thus the leaving early) or he knew he couldn't get it in time but was willing to leave early to try and stop the execution (again, thus the leaving early).

Ooo and that final thing comming out of the preview could be (something ... I'm not sure but a summon or something used in the execution?) Or in fact could be Ren did get bankai

That was awesome. Bleach is such a funny show, and it does a great job displaying characters (almost all of them are really memorable, even though the cast is large). Thumbs up.

Hrm they might, but then again I wouldn't mind waiting. All i hope for is a kick arse opening and ending song.

Now that I think of it, I would like to see another opening or ending by Asian Kung Fu Generation ( they also did FMA's 4th opening and Naruto's 2nd opening) but I'll take what i can get.

Nice ep, though not what I was expecting. I wonder why Ken decided to abandon Soul Society all of a sudden? Does he want to fight Ichigo again that badly? And why rescue Chad and the others? Inoue seems to be helping him, but I don't think she'd do that if she knew he wanted to defeat Ichigo. Strange. Maybe he's finally found out his sword's name? Anyways, his fight should be cool, so I'm not complaining. Definately a nice place for a double episode. And the way they're going through buildings Soul Society will be rubble before thearc's over, lol.

Finally got around to watching this ep. Tried out Dattebayo's version, wasn't too shabby at all.

Lots of stuff focusing on the Captains. Kenpachi a turn coat? Also, that one laid back Captain with the pink mantle seems pretty unresolved as of yet... Looking forard to Kenpachi kicking ass next episode. Bucket head, Insect boy, they're toast. Also should be interesting to see how Ikkaku and Pretty-Boy handle themselves (if we're even shown this at all)

Ichigo had better get his shit in gear. Of course he'll achieve Ban-kai release in time, I just want to see him use it on some poor fool.

Most interesting thing to me in this episode was the picture of the woman Byakuya was looking at in the shrine. That's got to have something to do with Rukia...

4. The Captains wavering dedication to their duty(the main ones are Hitsu, Ukitake, and maybe Shunsui(pink jacket guy))
5. Byakuya still being an asswhole.

Why was she adopted in the byakuya family in the first place? Byakuya family seems like a very famous and very known one. Why Rukia (not a very good shinigami) was adopted by byakuya family.

I still feel that there's an un-addressed issue of reincarnation in Bleach. You have Kaien and Ichigo, now Rukia and this Hisana chick... We now Kaien's dead, and it seems that Hisana is as well... Now we have two people who look almost exactly like them... This is not a coincidence. I haven't read the manga so I can't say for sure (and it would be an evil spoiler if i did) but I'm going to bet that Hisana/Kaien's reincarnation (or something along the lines of reincarnation) will be a central theme in Bleach before its over.

You know, it could actually just be Rukia. She is is going to die that afternoon, and what we saw would be the set-up for her funeral. From what I remember of Japanses funerals there is often a picture of the person who died placed prominently in the room. Even if she was a lesser member of the family she would still rate a showy ceremony just because of the family's importance and power.

The "Hisana" comment is pretty cryptic. He could be referring to a person, a place, or anything really. It's interesting because he seemed to show some emotion when he said it, and Byakuya has been pretty cold to, well, everything so far. Maybe Hisana was the person who wanted Rukia in the family? Or Rukia was supposed to be used for some plot involving something called "Hisana" and now that's failed since she's getting executed? I expect they'll come back to this, but so far we've really got nothing to go on.
