Okay, I'm always afraid to start a new thread since I rarely visit these boards, and lord knows if and when and where y'all hit the subject, but I really feel the need to bitch and complain about Naruto, like now....and none of my friends are awake right now....so you all get to suffer in this thread i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif

First things first, I'm going to apologize if this is already a thread somewhere. I know it's a rule, I did a search, came up with nothing related to what I'm complaining about =)

So here it is: I have NEVER seen an anime with this much bullshit just tossed together to create pointless filler episode after pointless filler episode. I mean, one could bring up how slow DBZ was, but the only "saga" was was lame filler was Garlic Jr. Everything else had a point. In Naruto? Let me count the retarded sagas that we've been through just recently, off the top of my head. Idate's retarded race. Sasame and her mutant cousin...or was it brother? Whatever, it was retarded either way. The worthless character from episode 1 and the retard-twins. And the waste of time mission with the bug with a really sensitive nose. Not to mention that finding Tsunade was long and boring (for the most part).

I need to add this in too, so....BEHOLD! PREVIEW SPOILER! SHIELD YOUR EYES!!!
The previews on 151 show yet another retarded filler saga beginning!


This series seriously needs to get a move on. Back to the interesting stuff. Back to Naruto training with Jiraya and what follows after that. Back to the whole chasing Sasuke and Orochimaru, and finding out more about Akatsuki. Seriously, the INTERESTING STUFF. Not these retarded little side missions that don't get anywhere. These filler episodes are beyond lame. (And no I won't read the manga. I'd rather just watch the anime...)
I know no one can do anything about it besides just sit back and wait, but dammit it's frustrating. We've had 15 weeks of B.S. episodes in a row.

I dont like the fillers but I still watch them, just to waste 20 mins. I have however started watching other series like Bleach and FMP. I actually d/led the whole FMP and Fumoffu thingy (hadn't seen any of em'). They are very well made anime. As soon as the fillers end, good things may come to Naruto. Until then, lets all look around for more anime... LOL

i thinkthe reason for most people not giving up on naruto is because we're continuingly hoping for an improvment, and that the fillers will burn in hell. i haven't quit watching, but, there's definitely a HUGE difference on how eager i am to d/l the next episode.

That's exactly the reason why I'm still watching Naruto. Over-all, it's a good series, and I've been an avid fan since episode 16 released. (A friend showed it to me then.) And on top of all that, I have friends who read the manga. They tell me things in the manga even though I tell them I'd punch 'em in the face if they did...and lo and behold, they got punched in the face....and the series actually does get interesting again! Amazing, isn't it? A good series actually gets good. Remarkable.

I'm simply stating that I'm shit-sick of these retarded filler arcs. All you manga-readers know how much of the series is in there. And you know exactly how much time passes between Jiraya saying he'll train Naruto and the next section in the manga compared to the events in the anime. All of this filler stuff is complate bullshit and I'm obviously not the only person who thinks so. They just need to get back to manga events, in the anime, and every fan will be a happy camper.


And to Keno, I'm currently keeping myself occupied with other animes as well. One Piece, Bleach, Yakitate Japan, FPM-The Second Raid (since I've already seen FMP & Fumoffu. Definitely get on those. They're good), and Suzuka...which honestly I don't know why I'm watching it. It's not that great. But the point is, even though I'm watching all this other stuff, I really want one of my favorite animes (Naruto) to get back on track and start actually being good again. It's just irritating O_o
Oh, and I'm trying to keep updated with the Hajime no Ippo manga. If you haven't watched the series, go watch it NOW. Seriously. Best damn anime EVAR. Better than Naruto...

I'm commenting on how crappy the filler is and how we're sitting through 15 episodes of pointless dribble (and how annoying that is), and you're stating that you think it's an incredibly long filler segment and are asking for comparisons in other anime. I'm not saying it's the same, but the topics kinda go with each other. We are talking abuout the same filler arc here...

@nge484: You seem to be contradicting yourself. You made a long post in the 151 discussion thread saying that all of us were promoting more filler by discussing it and saying "it wasn't that bad". But now you're telling us that you will keep watching Naruto no matter what. Well guess what. The people who produce Naruto don't sit there and read forums like this one (especially not this one). You know what they do take into account? The ratings of the show. How many people watch it. They might even take into account how many people download it. It is now common fact that Naruto is one of the, if not the most, downloaded anime - so there's a good chance they know this.

I understand your griping about how filler sucks, but maybe if you looked at this topic (http://forums.gotwoot.net/messageview.cfm?catid=29&threadid=16103&enterthrea d=y) you'd see that a lot of people are going to watch Naruto no matter what. @ XanBcoo: I was aware of my contradiction even though I didn't mention the fact. I thought about it a bit, and people are going to watch Naruto regardless (like me) and are going to try to find whatever they can to keep themselves interested until it picks back up (since it's over-all a good show). And I wasn't saying it was those people who help keep the fillers going, they'll do it regardless. When I said "people like y'all" I was referring to pretty much anyone who is alright with the poorly made filler episodes (the fans in Japan). Not specifically the people in the forum.
Basically I'm still in the same position I was in though. I'm not going to like fillers because...well, it's boring and the plots they come up with are pitiful and have no point (since they always end up back at square one), and I'm not going to like other people supporting the fillers...but at the same time, I don't want to show to get kicked. Not that it actually would since it's so damn popular, but somehow I'd want ratings to drop enough to the point where they know they're losing a significant amount of viewers and pick up the pace i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif But we obviously have no say in the matter. I mean, it's downloaded for free. They get no money from us downloading fansubs and (most likely) don't get any statistics either.
So to wrap up, my complaining about the fillers is just as pointless as the episodes themselves i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif

So now I'm just going to sit back and pray that this next filler arc doesn't last very long.

anyways, i agree that we've seen more than enough fillers. i hope this new one with lee, naruto, tenten, and neji ends quickly and somehow manages to flow right into the kakashi gaiden..

the way the last 2 fillers ended with rasengan blasts was kinda cliche. i knew it was going to end like that.

@XanBcoo: I've tried to ignore the fact that they're fillers and just watch it, but most of the time it's too painful to even try to see it as a normal episode. Basically, I think they're crap. They never come up with anything good. Between the mutant cousin, mizuki and retard twins, and the poison honey bee clan with the nerdy-glasses-mullet guy...the fillers never seem worth watching. IMO, they just can't write for shit when it comes to their filler arcs. The only filler episode I remember finding amusing was the Kakashi episode when they're trying to see his whole face. But whatever. Maybe this next arc will be halfway decent? Hopefully? I mean, it's got Neji, Lee, and Gai. Ten Ten I don't think I could care less about, and then of course Naruto'll be there to throw in his Rasengan and save the day. He's used it in every single filler they've made (that I can think of). It's kinda retarded really. Such a cool move is becoming retarded since he depends on it so much.......and he's only created it once without the use of his clones...
At least for now, I think I'd be a little satisfied with the filler arc if we see Neji, Lee, or Gai doing some cool fighitng and whatnot. But we'll see next week if it's really retarded or not...

Btw, I dunno if anyone's brought this up before...but what's with the turtle we saw the first time we saw Gai? It's never shown up again in 100+ episodes O_o

Oh, and I meant to bring this up earlier too. About Hinata's little technique...

the turtle we saw with gai is his summon...like kakashi's dogs. we don't really see that turtle much because i guess kishimoto thought it was pointless to add the turtle into the story. besides, the turtle didn't seem to useful in terms of abilities...not to mention it's extremely slow.
