I rewatch it often.

Usually it happens on weekends when I don't have homework or anything else to do. I'll click on a random episode to check a scene or something, then start watching on accident. Then I'll get to caught up that I'll keep watching the episodes after that one.

But yeah, Gaara vs. Rock is a common rewatch for me.

Who hasnt?

My favorite part which I have seen and shown to my friend is Lee/Gara fight.

Lee and Gara's fight was spectacular. The animation was superb. Every time I see Lee opening that gate gives me such an exciting buzz. His talk of becoming the genius of hard work and seeing him do so is commendable.

Lee is one of the underrated characters I hope Kishimoto will use him like Neiji or Shikamaru in the near future.

Totally agree with you there. This character literally affects my life. Especially when Gai said to him "hard work is worthless for those who don't believe in themselves." It just helps me boost my confidence in everything. And ya he's underrated..I mean Kishimoto keeps making him lose in every fight even though he was strong as hell. He was always doing really good then suddenly he just loses the fight..I mean wat the hell is that lol

Sasuke was relentless with his fire breathing jutsu. I remember the scene when Sasuke does the last Katon: Gokakyu no Jutsu (Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique) and the rock is melted and Naruto praised Sasuke. Those moments are priceless.

My favorite character is Tsunande, heh prolly because i like to drink all the time and she does too, lol and because of how she changed history in the story (her idea on making medical ninja) and how she saved a lot of the main characters from death and how she defeated orochimaru.. and because shes the hokage? one of my favorite fight seens is when the 3 sanin fight, with rock lee, i understand hes one of the best (if you ever played naruto III on game cube using him to fight is almost cheeting) but I still think Gui-sensai is who i like better than lee, heh , aaaaah i cant wait to see Gui vrs. that guy from the atakasti ? with the blade that shaves and eats chakra , aah man i forgot his name!

The Rock/Kimimaro fight is awesome too. First episode to make me laugh out loud by myself.

Other episodes I find myself rewatching are the emotional ones too. Like both of Rock's flashbacks, the end of the Gaara/Naruto fight, the Hokage's funeral, and of course episode 19 (still my favorite episode ever).

Rock Lee is the greatest.

Episodes 48-50 (Rock Lee v. Gaara) still get heavy rotation on my Media Player. Greatest fight to date, still.

There are a number of episodes I watch for brief moments, like Ep. 124, with Rock Lee unleashing his drunken fury on Kimimaro after falling on his face, and Neji's 128 Palms and determined finish on Kidoumaru, but I watch the above mentioned fight in its entirety all the time.

I do not think I could see myself watching the entire series from start to finish [current] again, though. Fillers are painful ..

I've seen it 3 times over, but only because I have 2 friends who wanted to see the show too. Other than that I only watch single episodes.

Edit: I have a feeling I'll watch the Deidara-invades-the-sand episode several times over too (if it's one single episode).

You know damn well if Deidara has ample dialogue in multiple episodes you'll be replaying them all. Heh. Although, I'm awaiting that scene when Deidara drops those spider bombs on the Sand scouts. Boom.

I feel Kishimoto has imitated Jackie Chan quite good.

That one episode, I think around 78 or 79, when the Third Hokage battles the first and second on the rooftop -- the Hokage Level Battle! -- gets a lot of replay on my Media Player, too. They were tossing out all kinds of crazy jutsu, especially that insane amount of water the second Hokage pulled out of seemingly nowhere. All those jutsu's were the shit due to the level they were all taken to.

The fight between the 3rd Hokage and Orochimaru was insane. The fight happed in the following episodes:

Ep 71 : Absolutely Incomparable! A Hokage-Level Battle
Ep 72 : The Hokage`s Mistake - The Real Face Under The Mask
Ep 73 : Forbidden Master Technique! Shiki Fuujin

This was the first time he saw 3rd in action and he lived upto his name, taking on two previous Hokages. It was very sad to see him go. Fights like these made me love Naruto so much.

Ur talking about the 3rd Hokage. The 4th is the blonde one who sealed the nine tales.

Anyway, back on track. I watch all the Rock Fights. He's just too good. I like Sasuke Vs Orochimaru in the forest when he gets his seal, Cool fight there. I like watching the 3rd hokage battle. Woulda been funny if 3rd did a youth jutsu but it only lasts for a few mins just enough time to have his full strength and kick everyones ass. Sure he could do it if he is a professor of jutsu's. I also watch the fight with Zabuza and Kakashi. I just love the whole part where kakashi runs about on the water and copys Zabuza's movements. It gave me the idea for a game, lol.

Lots of cool moments in Naruto.

I'm sure there's a thread for this, but c'mon .. the best jutsu out there is ..

Hakke Rokujuu Yonshou. Neji's 64-Palms [and 128] are the greatest combination of assaults ever set forth to tear asunder at an opponent.

And, while it is not really a jutsu .. any exhibition of Lee's speed is great to watch. Although, as you mentioned in a later post, Gaara's later presented skills were amazing. The Desert Requiem, etc.

Thanks for the episode recap. Once I get back to GTMO, I'll definitely have to rewatch those. The battle was so grand, the animation was superb, and as the episode title stated, it was truly a Hokage level battle. They were using some of the most powerful elemental techniques known, without any assistance of the element nearby. The Third even combined some techniques for greater effects, I think. We even saw Shodaime's Forbidden / Secret Bloodline ability, Forest Genesis, which I think was said to have helped create the Hidden Village of Leaf. And, who can forget the Monkey King summon! He was a sweet addition to the battle.

Enough with the ranting, though. There are definitely a lot of key moments worth reliving through in this series. But again, I don't think I could watch through it all, unless with someone who was new to the series. And even then, I may not have the patience to not spoil one thing or another as something good was about to approach.

That was the only time I thought Sakura had her chance of blooming. Both Naruto and Sasuke were near dead but she still didnt do enough in my opinion or couldnt do it because of her limited abilities.

I dunno, I think Sakura's 15 minutes were well lived. It showed that on top of having excellent chakra control, she could fight to protect her comrades, giving up what was most important to her.

But yeah, her strategy was a little weak. But what do you expect? It's her.

My girlfriend recently watched the series and is somewhat caught up, but while she was watching, I was "suggested" to sit with her and watch some, and it unfortunately happened to be the Idate Arc.

Fortunately, it was only the last two episodes of that four or five episode long stint, and I suppose that wasn't too too bad, considering watching Idate run reminded me of Rock Lee.

But, still .. I'll never do it again. I promise.

Is that the episode where Zabuza kills the mob boss?

He was unable to use either of his arms, and had a kunai clenched between his teeth slaying the massive group of no-names. That was a great damn moment. Then, when he looked all demonic and told the guy, "I'll show you what kind of demon I am in Hell .." Or something terrifying like that. Classic.

Up until seeing Rock Lee, that was my favorite moment in the series.

My faith in the series all but crumbled when I heard that Medic shinobi say he'll never be a ninja again. I knew it couldn't be true ..

I mainly kept watching for that, and when I heard Neji was going to be fighting soon.

The minute Rock Lee came into the show, and tried launching all those heart-filled winks (or was it kisses?) at Sakura, I became lifetime fan.

I still get goosebumps when I see that episode, and it gets to that part. Everyone, except Gai and Neji, were in complete awe. Even Kakashi was amazed. Temari and Sakura's faces were hilarious.

One of the funniest scenes though was also in that episode, when Kankurou is telling Naruto, "I like you .." or something to the nature, and Naruto's like, "Well .. I don't like you." And, they stand there staring at one another. I balled over.

As for your no. #4 moment, I only like the last portion of that battle .. "This last strike .. is heavier than life!" Serious line, there.

I'm telling you, that line alone made the entire moment. You knew there was nothing but pure annihilation coming with that fist when Chouji said that. Heavier than life? Damn, that's powerful.

After the episode finished, I went back and watched that whole scene a few times more, starting from when Jirobou went to smash him, and he's no longer there, with all the butterflies fluttering about. Greatness.

But, another thing that made this moment (and many others for me), is that damn music! It's off of the first Naruto OST, and I'll be damned if I don't love that song. It's called "Strong .. (someone help, and insert the rest)." i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif

Whenever they play that music, I get the chills from excitement over what's about to happen. It's same music they played when Sasuke fought Orochimaru in the forest. Sasuke shook out the ideas of Itachi talking down on him, then he activated his own Sharingan and was ready. The music, combined with the sweet animation and hand-to-hand combat moves, made that episode.

The FUNNIEST SCENE ever is during the intense chase of Sasuke and Gaara by sakura Naruto and Kakashis dog (cant remember his name) in episode 72 about 1:40 mins in! =)

Dog - (strange grumphing sound) This scent...

they stopp at a branch crouching naruto turns to the dog..

Naruto - Whats wrong?

Sakura - Did something happen to Sasuke-kun?

Dog - I didn't notice until now, but...

-|Split screen|- intense faces on naruto, sakura quite relaxed face expresion on the dog..

dog- You... (strange and deep voice)

3 s pause

dog - use the same schampoo as me.

devastating face expression by sakura..

dog sniffs..

dog - this scent is floral green.. I'm sure of it!

Naruto - HEY......!!!!!

dog- But, but my hair is much glossier.

LOL.. I was crying when I saw this scene!!!! LOL

Mostly because I like to show it to other people and I rewatch the episodes with them. I love to see their reactions to those oh so special naruto moments. All those butterflies, flashbacks and that red pill made me think he was dead. I was so upset . First Lee was crippled then Chouji and Neji were beaten. I hated Kishi for that.

Whenever they play that music, I get the chills from excitement over what's about to happen. It's same music they played when Sasuke fought Orochimaru in the forest

That song just brings your hidden emotions to the surface. You know something great is about to happen.

I'm glad I'm not the only one. I rewatched the last five minutes of that episode so many times. It kinda depressed me for a while...until I read the manga to find out he was alive. Still, it's one of the really good emotional scenes in the anime. 'Specially when he mentions all his friends...

*goes and rewatches episode*

Also, the truth of LobsterMagnet's post made me laugh.

Episode 30: Revive Sharingan!

.. I became a Sharingan fanboy for the first two minutes. When Sasuke was watching Orochimaru move, and then Orochimaru sped up and became very blurred out with his quick movements, and Sasuke was saying, "I can see .. I can see!" - coupled with Strong and Strike. Man, classic moment.

On another note, does anyone know Itachi's famous line in Japanese? You know, the one Sasuke's always remembering, and we're always shown during the numerous flashbacks. He even says it in the Naruto: Gekitou Ninja Taisen 3 video game, if you catch Sasuke with the Tsukiyomi.

I can say it, since I committed most of it to memory from watching Itachi so much. However, I have no idea how to write it.

@ Xan': Lobster isn't lying. It's sad, but so true. But, with nothing else. What are we to do? The creators forced our hand to watching the series' highlights over and over again!

Gootcha. The truth has finally come out "Sharingan fanboy".
BTW I have quoted this in Sasuke Vs Neji thread.

I think Xan agrees with Lobster's truth.

And me, lol.

Neji's fight w/Kidoumaru is another great rewatch episode.

@Strider: I don't know japanese, but are you're talking about how Itachi says how Sasuke is "foolish brother" ?

Yeah! When he's like, "Foolish brother. Hate me, detest me, and live a pitiful existence. Run and run and run, and cling to life .." Can't remember the rest of the top, but that whole little monologue there. Anyone know how to say it in Japanese?

@ Assertn: Since this is about re-watching episodes, I decided to watch Episode 61 (64 Hands of Hakke is so coo' to watch!) during my lunch break, and Tenten never says Neji is a defensive combatant. She merely said that Hakkeshou Kaiten is his defensive move. This isn't an attack at you, I'll save those for my snipings in the other topic. I know you said, "I think this is what she said .." So, I was merely letting you know that she was only speaking in terms of the technique.

Another thing I noticed in this episode is how potent Jyuuken is. Hizashi-sama killed the Cloud Village's strongest Jounin in one hit. BLIZZAM! Lights out, bitches!

He also fuckin' explodes that big-ass spider of Kidomaru's in the episode I mentioned by shoving his palm into it.

About Itachi's monologue: I guess if no one else helps you w/it, the best thing to do is listen to him say it and memorize it phonetically 0.o

That was pretty damn badass.

I mainly watch that episode though, for the initial 64 Hands of Hakke he catches Kidoumaru with. When Neji smashed our Spider-Man through the tree, I was rooting like crazy. I didn't expect it to be over, but I was seriously amazed by it and hoping Neji sweeped him.

And, also for the obvious 128 Hands of Hakke. This was a definite bonus to me, since it was an anime-only addition. Being a manga reader, you know what's about to transpire. However, that technique was a surprise and undoubtably a pleasant one of astounding results. Neji's so elite.

I believe this is all episode 116-117: The Genius Ninja Goes Wild Special! (An hour special), for those curious as to what we're discussing and eager to rewatch it, without having to go through numerous episodes.

I think Neji is cool, there I said it.
