Favorite Destiny opening!

I'll now do the pros and cons of each opening.

Ignited:

Pros: Good scenes, music gets you pumped up, Yzak.
Cons: Not the best song otherwise, some scenes that are unnecessarily long and out of place.

Pride:

Pros: Awesome song, great choice of scenes, Heine, cool foreshadowing.
Cons: nothing really

Bokutachi:

Pros: The song showed, just like Believe did for Seed season 3, that things were getting darker
Cons: Seed should never have slow or mid-tempo songs, too many spoilers in foreshadowing

that last song:

Pros: lol
Cons: Everything

It should also be noted that Pride is one of few openings in history that can rival the amount of times I've seen the opening animation for Realize (Seed op4)

I have to agree with Terra. Ignited got you really pumped to see the series, but the opening scenes were very out of place.

Pride has to be the best SEED Destiny Opening because the scenes showed stuff that was really going to happen, and the song itself was one of the best songs I've ever heard.

Bokutachi was good. I liked it, but it wasn't good for a Gundam opening.

Wings was just flat out bad.

ignited, pride, and bokutachi no yukue are all good, ignited got me hooked on gsd because i judge 50% of the anime based on the music and then pride was hella good and it had great scenes and bokutachi no yukue was close to pride but pride still beats it and wings of words is alright for just a song but it still sorta sucks so i vote pride

I voted for Ignited because that was when I was really into Destiny and was loving the blend of old characters and new ones.

Now it just sucks big hairy goat balls.

I also hated the third opening because its "foreshadowing" was more like blatant spoilers of events to come. Honestly, who unmasks a villain in an opening before it actually happens in the series? (Not like it wasn't obvious already...)

Going to go with Ignited since I am a big TMR fan and it seemed to me like a Destiny remix of Invoke (which IMO was the best SEED opening) and Ignited just seemed like a good show opener for the first few episodes and it was half the reason that I watched Destiny after seeing the preview trailer even though SEED had been disappointing. Oh and I don't really think Wings of Words is a bad song, it just takes getting used to because now I kinda like it though the Gundam SEED Destiny opening of it sucks although after seeing the songs other people have switched it for in opening remakes there are definitely some far worse openings that could have occurred.

Wing of words. I'm tone deaf but i like it. Can't expect much from a drummer, a violinist and a pianoist. The loudest part was the singer. It was pretty good. I could listen to it all day. The other songs seem better in comparison only because they threw in synthesizers and electric guitarists. Also Wings of word had a couple of seconds pause or where the only thing playing was either drums and violin.

Bokutachiwa It has its moments such as around 0:40 to 1:20 and 2:55 to 3:25 (backup guitarist) and 4:10 to end and parts like that. The rest was just drowning. You will be deaf after its over. The main guitarist was overdoing himself. His interference to the singer made it hard to hear her. The backup guitarist was talented though.

Pride's moment was between beginning to 0:25 and 0:35 to 1:15,
2:30-2:40 (guys stick to your talent, ok?), i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif
2:40 to 2:55 (okay, rock on!)

I would have voted for ignited as the best but already voted for Wings of words cause it was unpopular but i don't think it was that bad.

I'm just a little shocked that the first opening Ignited isn't doing so well....

I have gotten to the point where skipping the opening piece of shit song is such high priority that I won't maximize the first couple minutes until I can safely fastforward through the shitty Wings of Words garbage.

wings of words is a weird and unsual song for an opening, yet, although it's not good and not so bad, it's sorta hypnotizing. it just keeps making me put it on repeat, so i can hear it over and over again.

People please specifically read the details of this poll, BEST OPENING, this is not just the song, but also the animation that went along with it, which is where Wings of Words the OP loses, as it re-uses tons of scenes.

I voted PRIDE (second opening) because the song is damn good, it get's you pumped up and flows perfectly with the animation of that opening. I love the part where Saviour Gundam poses with Athrun in a ZAFT suit raises his hands in the background, then you see the Destiny Gundam all darkned rushing towards the Destroy Gundam along with Kira's FREEDOM, Kira and Shinn face to face.

For me PRIDE is the best opening song of all the SEED saga.



Anybody thinking that "Wings of Shit" is a good opening should be shot immediatly !

I've never seen such an ill-placed song, I mean MY GOD it's ugly ! "Wings of Shit" is more fitted for a slow-mo Jazz club song.
