Psyke, might I ask if you could post any good cosplays from Full Metal Panic if you've seen any? I've seen some ok Sousuke's but the Kaname ones I've seen (I just look through google images, lol) are...not that great.

huh, yeah, it really is the exact same outfit, pose, and everything... Which means, by the laws of the internet, that the superior Guts is a photoshop fake (albeit an excellent one). The muscular, non-Asian guy looks like the perfect match for a live-action of Berserk, but his outfit is clearly identical to the other guy's....
And if it seems too good to be true, it probably is...

I just noticed a pretty subtle but big difference. Look at the cape. In the second one, it intersects his leg at the knee, while in the "real" one it intersects his crotch. I don't really see the reason behind doing that.

It's not for preventing it from dusting. It's to cool the roads or floors. A lot of buildings in Asia are constructed out of concrete instead of wood. At least that's what my mom did that for way back in the day.

Hmm... It could be, but it could be we are thinking of different things. I meant those times when the musume of the shop is sprinkling water in front of the shop to the street made of sand (and then when her attention is diverted she by accident throws some on top of the main hero guy... and the rest is history). I can't imagine scattering a little water with a little ladle could cool a road very much.

I was comparing this thing in my mind to the (modern) method of spreading some salt (or whatever chemical it is) on the sand road that would then absorb moisture from the air and make the road slightly moist and much less prone to dust when cars and people pass by.

The maids are actually from the various shops and cafes along Akihabara, and the theme of the event is to "cool down" the streets of Akiba for their "goshuujin-sama" (masters). You call them the best clothing invention ever. ..or just thigh high stockings, if they're the kind that hold themselves up. The ones that are held up via the little straps are called garter stockings b/c they require a garter belt to wear.

Anyway, where I grew up they seemed to have fallen out of favor with most of the girls at the other schools with uniform requirements. You'd see a few here and there but most girls would wear shorts or sweats or tights under their skirts or long socks instead.
