Yes, now that it was mentioned and I had a better look, that might indeed be the case. But the Nanao cosplayer never was the hottest of that bunch posted, and I didn't have that good a look at her (he) back then. I will never get used to crossdressing people, and thus I will always remain gullible what comes to it, unless it's very obvious and gross.

In the Trigun manga, after Volume 2 (and when the manga changes it's name to "Trigun Maximum"), Vash gets a black streak on the back of his hair - which I think is a nice touch. The jacket and leather look great in the picture, but the guy just doesn't look like Vash, and he kinda screwed up the look of the hair (too wet, and not the right shape).

I think Rukia looks too much a typical Japanese girl, and that it would be difficult for an American girl to cosplay her. Inoue seems more likely to be cosplayed by a caucasian compared to Rukia.

This is semi related but I know a person who looks like alot like Aizen back when he kept his glasses on. Mario's side certainly is incorrect, so the outcome would not be anything pretty. Not that a "perfect" Mario-Luigi fusion would be pretty...

I will say this about the Gaara. He was born to be him. He has that natural look. If his hair was a bit more red and if he had the dark red outfit, and not to forget the gourd, he'd be perfect.

Here's an interesting prop from "The Paper" from R.O.D. The coplay itself isn't too great, it's one of those easy costumes to do, you just need to look the part to pull it off, and she isn't quite there. But her prop is kinda cool.

Yeah. I decided to post it because Team Yondaime looked pretty dang badass, with the exception of Yondaime himself. Sakura and older Kakashi seemed pretty good to me too.

get to the conclusion of the content of this thread by looking at the topics tittle. This is a thread for people who enjoy watching good cosplay and find it worthwhile to comment on other peoples performances.

This is complete waste of time indeed, but so is a million things in this world, and this is one of the most harmless of those million things. Do you i.e. go to some forum dedicated... let's say, for football, and tell every football player to get "a real life" because football in the core is just the same waste of time, like cosplay is, which won't benefit anybody (execept the players in that way they have good health (or do they? there has been alarmingly often reports of young football players getting heart attacks during matches...)).

You tell people around here to get a life, but how do you know that the posters there don't have jobs or kids? Maybe they have life, and they only come here to enjoy their freetime by watching good (or not so good) cosplay.

EDIT: Oh, and that Rukia's damn well done! Nice job indeed!
