The Legend of DUO

I downloaded this show on a total whim and am about to go see what the very first episode looks like.

Supposdely its about vampires or some supernatural thing like that. (i love vampires!)

If anyone knows or has heard anything about this show, post it here!

OK, I just watched the first two episodes.
Can anyone guess how I managed to do that within a span of 15 minutes?
THATS BECAUSE EVERY SINGLE SO-CALLED "EPISODE" IS ONLY 5 MINUTES LONG!!!!

My opinion: This is not really a total series. It is a bunch of 5 minute 'mini-episodes' that tell the story of two vampires, Zeig and Duo. Apparently this show is set in a future where the entire human race has used up the source of their life, a thing called 'Purana'. Vampires, however, are still immortal and can control Purana very well, enough to keep a human alive if they give that human their blood. The setting of the show is a snow-bound metropolis.

I find myself thinking that this show is based on a very good, actually excellent premise! Humans seeking out the blood of Vampires! How twisted around is that? ! And this Duo character seems to be trying to save the human race by teaching them how to control Purana. Because of all the snow and the secrety society of vampires it reminds me greatly of the myth of Promoetheus and how he brought fire to humans.

Well the two vampires are your typical bishounen vampires, and they do talk about each other in a very... questionable manner when they first meet. But you'll see why... and it is NOT homosexual!

Oh, and I forgot to also mention: THIS SHOW IS TOTALLY A LOW BUDGET CREATION!

Most of the scenes are flashes and panoramas of people talking, the only real moving animation is people talking, and occasionally slight movements. The drawings, characters and backgrounds are all well drawn, but there is little active animation to speak of. Thats the biggest downside of this show for me, the obvious low budget. But that also endears me to the show, because unlike GSD and Naruto where they have big budgets and shitloads of animators, but no real storyline to tell, this is almost the opposite.

I find that there are lots of anime that use bishounen and edgy dialogue to make it seem like there is a possibility of homosexuality, just because they get the attention of yaoi fangirls (and guys) without directly coming out and saying whether or not characters are gay or straight. That also gives them the potential to not totally alienate homophobes
