Getting started?

if someone wanted to sub, like be in a group, where would they go to learn how to do this? or is it even possible to learn on the net?

Probably look for groups that want help, and say is there anybody willing to teach, or know where I can find a tutorial of some kind.

You should probably learn to use Irc since pretty much every fansubbing/dvd ripping group has their own channel. Plus, its easier to get in touch with them if you want to help them rather than emailing back and forth.

Once you do the step which NarutoMasater has said.. you might wanna check out irc.rizon.net (the server gotwoot used to be associated with before we had our own server).. There are alot of subbing groups there...Aone included
