it didn't look "gay" it just looked like a simple fight with a twist. And the funny thing about it was how both the real Orochimaru and Kabuto never actually showed up.

I did laugh a few times while watching the ep though. THe flashbacks were annoying and I dunno why the heck the girl who posed as kabuto had so much bs to say about Sasuke.

not too bad, I wasn't sure how much pressure the girl actually put on the trap to release Naruto., I guess its alright.
and the flamable gas breathing thing was fun. I imagine Neji could see the strings well enough to have a chance of avoiding them... wow, what a fatal attack.


also, this filler is coming together, perhaps I should rewatch some of the earlier ones, but the voices and animation seemed off on some of the characters before....

anotehr retarded episode. what pisses me off more is that this filler actually has potential, yet teh writers keep fuckign up. ur in oro's mansion, the mood is dark, so y teh fuck would u put in stupid comedy music and have the characters knock each other on the head while theres a half-dead/half-alive kabuto in front of u.

oh and the icing on the crap cake: anotehr shitty lite saber...atleast teh last one was a weapon of a hokage. this was was just some magic kunai. how lame.

as for the next episode, its gonna be EXACTLY the same as the chuunin exam, when sasuke and naruto were both knocked out...if my memory serves, it was called "showing her back in determination" or somethign like that. even teh names sound the same.

i hope a larg vehicle runs over all the writers

Ya this episode was very average. The only part I liked about it was the technique Naruto almost got his ass handed to him with.

And about Arashi's Ultimate Ninjitsu, I hope that it is the "Ultra-Fugly-no jutsu" cause if so he is on the fast-track to success!

playing hide and seek vs a jounin , are you fucking insane naruto. you're lucky that its a filler and you cant be seriously injured so you can pull crazy shit like that.


(apologies to anyone who might be offended by the swearing, but these filler episodes are very low standard for naruto , you'd think they could at least have a reasonable story line for a filler arc, or just make 1 story episodes like small missions.)

The ep was ok and I actually thought it was funny when Naruto was rolling on the floor on fire. The fake kabuto thought it was funny too. But, yeah, the whole secret mission lets pretend to sneak around and then act like retards is a bad ploy by the writers, either go comedy all the way are be serious all the way, it just ruins it when they try to do both. Ep was pretty good about 3/4 of the way through when we didn't know kabuto was fake, but went downhill afterwards, and as soon as oro came out the door I just knew it was a fake too, they should have let the fake oro die without revealing him/herself then the oro thing would have been more of a shock. Hopefully there are only two more episodes of this, if they don't decide to do another filler arc afterwards.

Well probably since the Fuuma clan has been disbanded in a way, perhaps she has managed to learn some jutsus
forbidden at her level, such as countering the chakra weave.

As for the second part, Naruto has gone a long way now. And besides...that wasnt the real Kabuto and Naruto already defeated a jounin before... a leaf/rain nin I believe i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif .

This ep was pretty creepy/icky...

As soon as this arc started into going to Orochimaru's lair its like I just wanted it to be called "Orochimaru's house of horrors!" cause thats definitly what it seems like.

Am I the only one who thought it would of been a really cool twist if Arashi was the body that Orochimaru took over? Instead of being some weird mutilated mutant creature thing from Oro's House of Horrors. IMHO it would of added some neat back story for the guy that Oro actually took over, unless the manga/anime is going to explain that later.
I mean, I figure they can't catch Orochimaru at this point of the arc, but it would of been nice for them to learn that about Arashi, instead of him being a crazy mutant thats willing to kill Sasame.

I remember with that guy who Orochimaru did take over, I thought there was a bit of a slight resemblance there between him and Arashi, and that guy did ask Orochimaru to leave his clan alone after that. It would of made sense if that was what we were seeing here. ....but no...we got another Oro creature feature.

Anyways, so far this arc is ok...I'm going to wait till its over before I fully judge whether it was bad or not.

I laughed when the trap door hit naruto on the head. As far as im concerned theres two types of Rasengan, Filler Rasengan which never kills anyone, and regular rasengan which only jiraiya can control the power of it. I was waiting for Team Gai to bust in and have neji cut the ropes with his chakra skills. Coulda been good if the bitch just died from rasengan. And a longer battle please if its JOUNIN vs genin, seriously wtf.

Not a very good ep for the animation. The fight with Naruto's KAge Bunshin and Freak was shitty, no wait, hang on I just saved some money betting on the Spurs win. Well yeh the animation was garbage, all them just piling on, hardly any good camera angles. Too close too often. The animations looked jerky as hell to me.... Shoddyily made ep, which is a shame because it might have had potential.

But seriously. Next time if your damn heart is connected to them just get a damn blade and make it deep. I felt somewhat cheated by this ep in parts, just because i felt like it was a lazy production staff...

I largely agree with the above statement. I really want to know where that crazy PowerUpYourKnifeSasame!! charm came from and why it was SOO annoyingly in time to save the day when Sakura couldnt do anything for the 2nd time in the episode (cerca 100 times she's done it in the entire series) & like Assassin said, looks like next ep all she has to do is figure out how to get Naruto & that bitch out of some pyramid Reno-FF7 trap shit.

Sakura could have bit those strings apart if she was able to concentrate her chakra in her teeth sharp enough (what a girl fighting technique...) and pierce the thread with her own chakra, full of determination to save Naruto, like in next ep will take her over 5 agonizing minutes to muster, ala Neji. Wasn't she supposed to be good at focusing her chakra like that?

Oh wait, that was another character. Sakura is only good at sucking and crying alot.

I too would have liked for this to have been a back-story to Oro's new body, though this is an interesting RE twist.

I'm still waiting for Rock Lee to run in, save Sakura by opening 7 gates this time, and then get the girl of his dreams to fall for him.

Useless3? Well I disagree with you. While she may end up somehow saving the day next episode with some crappy angst filled drawn out decision to stand up and fight, she is still useless. She has always been more of a liability and burden than any sort of help. The stuff she does is almost all on basic rookie level, she has no great jutsus, no real offensive or defensive skills and fills up screen time... she's been draggin this show down forever.

She's almost as bad as Sasame. Not only could I care less about this girl's sob story, but she comes in the nick of time to save the day with some super-duper unexplainably powerful device that saves our hero once again. I don't know whats worse, useless characters that waste screen time and whom I couldn't care less about, or filler-bitches that are so convienent on their timing and saving the day but return to being a piece of trash right afterwards...

I am also getting sick of seeing the Rasengan. That along with Mass Kage Bunshin and kunai throwing are about all the jutsus I've seen Naruto perform in the last 20 eps or so, minus the Kyuubi chakra going berserk on its own.

I really like this show because of the wide range of battle tactics and jutsus and how the characters combine the environment they are fighting in to get an edge over their opponent with their specialty or change up how they deploy their jutsu to win... But I haven't seen much of that from anyone except Sasuke and Shikamaru as of recently... Naruto, Sakura, the fake Kabuto, and even Jiraiya all just use their techniques straight up and blatantly forward.

Amen...that's what made me even remotely interested in this show, was that is was
1. Ninjas (Everyone loves ninjas!)
2. Intelligent (Tactics and thinking and all that good stuff)
3. Ninpo (The ninjutsu magics based on the real hand seals used in ninjutsu for concentration in removing fear or thought from the brain...at least I think that's what they were there for...)

The only thing really disturbing about this show is the complete lack of stealth....wait...fuck stealth, there isn't even subtlety in this show. WTF Orange? What kind of ninja wears orange!? Very rarely is there any stealth in this show...One can only hope that in the next series 3 years from now, Naruto grows up and learns enough techniques to count on both hands at least. Rasengan was interesting when first brought into the series....but its becoming the "kamehameha" of this show....and frankly....its sad.

Finally caught up with the latest ep.

I didn't like this filler as well. Full of cheesy stuff already mentioned in the other posts. Didn't understand why they didn't show Orochimaru in his new form or at leasted the bandaged form which looked mysterious and at least fresher.

The idea of Arashi being the new container is cool, but too bad fillers cannot change anything from the manga or even incorporate new advancements in story. This is to protect Kishimoto's rights should he want to change anything in the manga later on.

upon further reflection of this episode, I now am not so impressed with kagerou's technique... yeah it was cool that he/she ripped his/her own heart out.. but basically that was the Fuuma clans most secret ninpou, however it reminds me of a certain genin recently turned chuuins' shadow technique.... to say that a whole ninja clan's best technique was similarly mastered by a noob is not so impressive. as far as the rasengan goes... i still think its cool but it's lame that it takes naruto 2 hands to form... with the nine tails' chakra you would hope he would have enough chakra to form one in each hand! not that naruto is skilled enough to know what to do with 2 8)

The Godfather works to maintain and further his Family's standing and to protect each member as best he can. The Godfather grants favors when that person can come back and help him later, BUT the Godfather also gets involved in certain 'favors' solely for another's benefit, even if the request is hard or troublesome for him to fulfill.

Orochimaru, on the other hand, is all about himself. He gladly sacrifices anything and anyone in order to further his study of jutsu. He grants people favors (and this is just my opinion on him, not any cold hard fact) only when they don't cost him much time or trouble AND when he believes that person will help him out with an equally large favor. Oro doesn't care about the Sound at all, they're just another tool to be used and discarded when needed...

I dont want to have 10000000 transforming monster-ninjas with 10000000 Super-Special-Effect-technics.

In conclusion:

I want fights like within the first arch, the Zabuza-arch.

Fighting with Kunais, Shurikens and feet and fists, clever combinated to a real ninja-strategy...like the first fight against Zabuza....you know, Kakashi being captured, Naruto attacking with several kagebunshins, then within the chaos self-transforming into a Shuriken, leaving one kagebunshin "alive", then letting Sasuke throw the Shuriken, Zabuza evading it, but then Naruto re-tranforming into himself and throwing a Kunai that cannot be doged by Zabuza, so that Kakashi could come free.

THATs ninja-style!

In fact, it was all good until the last arch with the 5 Sound-ninjas.

Did any of you guys ever see the Godfather (or even parts 2 or 3) ? Or where you stoned when you watched it or something...

why dont you throw in that oro's not overweight and doesnt have big cheeks while you're at it
ANY comparison can have details that don't match up when you only concentrate on that, the point is to find 2 things that are more similiar to each other than any other 2 things, fool

Lets see.....the godfather helps people who will benefit his family....gee....if we substitute "family" with oro's "ambition" then maybe you can be a little more flexible in understanding the correlations. The only time the godfather ever did favors solely for another's benefit was on his daughter's wedding...other than that, it was either to establish or keep ties with other people of power or to strengthen the power of his own "family," OR as reward to people who in some way have helped his "family"

Of course oro doesn't care about the sound at all.....just as the godfather doesnt care about "random business owner X" at all....until person in question proves to be someone worthy of his attention.

Do you even read the forums at all, or where (sic) you stoned when you read it or something...


Well I simply saw a comparison between two characters that I don't believe are similair at all. And physical characteristics aside and noting that you raise a good point about the Godfather giving out favors on his daughter's wedding day (as its supposedly a Sicilian tradition that he cannot refuse to give out such favors) I still don't think your argument works.

Oro has no family, no loved ones. The Godfather (Vito at least, Michael was far more ruthless...) is a family man at heart, always placing the family first. Not just "the family" but his true blood relatives. The Godfather also takes careful pains to maintain his "mob family" amidst the mafia warring.

Oro has no blood relatives, but I do believe he would use them as research material if he did! Comparing his ambition to the Godfather's family is a lengthy stretch to make. Oro would throw everything away to get what he wants, while the Godfather constantly puts himself on the line for his family and "the family" and tries to protect the people around him.

And perhaps I can make superior arguments even when I am stoned. Ever consider that?

I would hope you are indeed not stoned then, because your argument here sucks.

When you compare people like this you don't say well this person is EXACTLY like this other person, because that never happens. You compare parts of their personality to the other person, not the whole person. No matter your attachment to the godfather you need to calm down and think about things a little.

Every person has an objective in life that they eventually choose for themselves and then spend their life in pursuit of that objective, unless that objective is challenged by others and proved to be a worthless/lame pbjective to pursue... I would belive that to be the most general way to encompass what is being said so far.

This is my final defense on the subject and then I'm shutting up

GRANTED No two people are exactly alike.
'Main desires' or 'things you care about the most' can & often do largely dictate what kind of person you are (as well as how you go about pursuing these things)
GRANTED The Godfather & Oro both grant people favors, in return for some other kind of favor/service.
BUT the most important thing to each of them are incredibly different!
One's personal ambition vs. one's family
I just see people pursuing each one of these things as vastly different, since one focuses entirely on the self, and the other on other people. One path tends more to personal sacrifice and the other to betrayal & taking advantage of everyone around you.
Their "way" being largely dictated by their goals puts each indivudal (in this case Oro and the Godfather, use either Vito or Michael) on far ends of a spectrum (and how I view this spectrum and how important I believe it to be are entirely my opinion) and any other similarities between the two pale in comparison (again, my choice to focus on certain aspects as more important)

When it comes down to it, some people judge others by their ends, and others judge them more bytheir means. Everyone also sees the situation differently and bases their judgment and belief on things closest to them. Nuff said, I've gone thrice talking on this subject and I'm quite spent -tho always interested to see a reply-

I rewatched the ending of this episode recently just to enjoy Arashi Birkin once again, and realized the following:

Naruto is not going to forgive Orochimaru!

Well guess what, NO SHIT! I'm so fucking sick of that stupid excuse for a main character yelling that he won't forgive people.
It's a bad line to begin with and the fact that he repeats it every second episode just makes me laugh rather than take it seriously.
It's even funnier when you take in consideration that he's said it at least once during every one of the latest episodes...

Also, I don't think that the "way of the ninja" line is dumb at all.
For a lot of the characters, it's their motivation. It's their end goal (kinda goes w/the discussion earlier).
I don't think it's as reused as the "I won't forgive you" - which actually WAS cool when Naruto said it the first 3 times.
