Well, I think the title explains it all.
Since many of the people here don't read the mange, including me, we don't really know what the differences are between manga en anime.
Sometimes you hear some manga readers say that they saw something they haven't seen in the manga or vice versa.
e.g. It seems that the mangekyou that Itachi used on Kakashi wasn't shown in the manga up until the flashback we saw recently (the eye itself).
We presumed that it was the Mangekyou, so you could say the tha anime-watchers have been "fooled".
