It's better to get the 1/100 models if you're not going to paint them, as they would then have most of the correct colours.

I use both of these sites when deciding what models I buy. They both have very good pictures, and the first site has pics of the instruction booklet and contents which helps for when i want to see how compex/detailed a model will be. They both know what models are coming out next , but the first link lists which month.

Why bother getting an MSiA figure? If I want a prepainted, preassembled model, that looks fantastic, I'd stick with the Gundam Fix Figuration. Those are great. Bought an Ex-S Gundam, when I was in Japan and I have to say it looks freakin' awesome.

For my Freedom and Strike I used a screw driver to "drill" a hole thru. It's not that hard as the plastic is quite soft. The screw driver that i use has the same diameter as the metal rods which I bought in packs of 3 in model shops. I simply then put the metal rod thru and use super glue to secure it.

As for the Force Impulse, good eye sight for noticing that the stand is from Blitz! I didn't use the stand for Blitz thus decided to use it for the stand for Impulse. I simply used blue tack to fix on the base of the Gundam to the stand. It's quite stong and won't fall unless you swing it around violently.

There are also stands for sale in shops, you just have to look around. Where are you from aznimperialx?

I enjoy painting figures. The GFF figures are very detailed indeed, but I get no pride in them because they're pre-made so well. I own 2 GFF figures, the GP04 Gerbera/Gerbera Tetra (0083), and the suped up Blue ver. of the Zeta-plus Gundam (from Sentinel).

Additionally every GFF comes with tons of stuff, most of it to change the first Gundam into a second one. And about the poses...well, alright, the Ex-S is not that poseable, that is true, but it is due to the fact that it is such a bigass MS. With others like the Gerberea or the classic RX-78 or the Alex it is different. Even my Ex-S would be a lot more ...mobile, if I'd take off all the extra equipment and turn it back into a Superior Gundam. And finally, as Psyke said, they are extremely detailed and well made. I gotta say, the price fits the product.
Oh, btw, I'm pretty sure that any other normal model, like a HG or MG kit would break more easily then a GFF. But who would let their Gundams fall from shelves? It isn't even a full model yet they are charging more then the price for the PG Strike Rouge + Skygrasper (http://www.hlj.com/product/BAN938257) for it. The PG Rouge is 19,000 Yen, the Buster Dagger conversion kit is listed at 19,800 yen.

im not saying that GFFs suck, just merely stating that MIAs have different strengths than their GFF counterparts, strengths that suit my particular toy needs. for one thing they (GFF) are not meant for playing, call me stupid and childish, but i like to mess with my toys and pose them and take them apart and all that, and not feel too bad about possibly breaking them by just handling them or posing them.
im not saying that GFF are made of crappy plastic or anthing, they are very high quality figures with excellent paint jobs and look beautiful. however, MIAs are quite a bit more durable due to the rubbery nature of the plastic used for them. of course noone wants things to fall off their shelves, but i live in a very small apartment, and shit happens, you know? and due to the limited space (and cash i might add) i generally collect smaller cheaper toys like microman and gashapon and a few larger figures including a MG here and there. in fact id love to have more GFF, but ive grown to love MIA since my collection has grown so huge (over 150 :D )

While I haven't purchased from HLJ so I can't guarentee it, the common practice online is to lower shipping for multiple purchases (it is cheaper to ship 1 heavier package then 2 lighter ones, and it encourages more purchases so more profit). Most likely the shipping for the second item would be between 1-3 dollars unless it was really big/heavy.

Thats actually the non-zero Wing Gundam ver. ka. if it was the wing zero MG id say no way, its soo played out, but since it isnt, id choose either that or Chars Z'gok. The Z'gok is a really interesting and fun build!

They do, but not as much as that picture. The larger parts will come in the correct colors, but to get it just right some painting is required. That is just a picture of a proto-type of the model.

I actually picked up #1 at amazon for like $15 but I warn you its a piece of junk its just REALLY flimsy and the sight on the Nuke launcher is increadably easy to snap off.

This is only prt of my seed/seed destiny collection still got bare that I aint made yet. For xample: Destiny, Sword Impulse, Justice, Aegis, Rey's Zaku etc etc.
Basically i got all from Seed, and nearly all from Seed Destiny aint got X20A Strike Freedom and Zaku Warrior and Heine's Zaku (no point really 4 the 2 Zaku since its literally the same as the Luna and Rey's).

Yea, I have a Testor's Decal making set. You print the markings you want on this type of special paper they give you, then you spray it with a special sealent that's included in the package. It's a water application decal when it dries.

It does have its good parts the main Gundam actually looks great and stays together fairly well. Overall its the accessories that are a problem. The shield is as big as the gundam itself and does have a working latch for the front part of the cannon. But due to the shear size and weight of the thing as the hands are the basic 1/100 gundam hands they essentially can't hold up the mamoth thing. Then you have 2 little nukes which have basically nowhere to go. The one in 2 parts fits nicely in the pack and has a little door but the other one the best you can do is sit it next to the gundam or maybe tie it to a string like it was fired in a diarama.

Overall its not horrible but even at $15 and your talking paying $40 plus shipping. I know I was rather disappointed in it.

My assumption is that by dry apply you find the appropriate side (they are usually see through so you just have them the way you want them to be applied). Then you hold the sheet against the model and rub it. usually they would be transfered with heat so it may take some serious rubbing to get it to transfer over and I'd imagine if you move it early you ruin the decal. I very well could be wrong but thats certainly what I would try.

That's how you basically apply it. Make sure you take the plastic/paper backing off first, and rub hard.

What I do for applying DRY DECALS is by taking a lead pencil and place the Dry Transfer on the plastic, than start rubbing it until it covers the area and slowly peel off the sheet. Well it works for me all the time ^_^ So it depends on what you find easier or suitable for you.

Just get them both. Two HG 1/144 is only like 1/5 or so the cost of the meteor in the first place.

From my experience the grade I prefer is Master Grade gundams because of the price and posability. Although I LOVE perfect grades (my Wing Zero..), my bank account takes hard hits from them, and High Grades are too easy =/ (My meteor + freedom kit) I don't touch standard grade cuz they suck =/

Ha ha, thanks Phoenix20578. I've seen people use wires to display detached 'funnel' systems from 0093 with the Nu Gundam and the Sazabi.
Also,I made a display stand out of clothe hanger, and it's gold, to match the SF. Unlike the huge 1/100 figure above, this figure is roughly the same heigth as a normally sized wallet.

I don't see the problem with that. I don't have that one so I don't know the exact comparison, but I do have the 1/144 METEOR which is about the same size as the 1/60 Strike. So makeing it 1/60 would be insane and really cool.

Yes. 1/100 and 1/144 refers to the scale of the models. And of course, the 1/100s are bigger than the 1/144s : )

If it's your first Gundam I'd recommend a 1/100 one. They're bigger, easier to work with and has more correctly coloured parts. If you don't intend to colour them with an air brush, at least get a Gundam modelling marker so that you can draw in the black lines, which will make your Gundam look a lot better.

NarutoMaster warned me about you lol. Those Gashapon sets were rare as hell to find. I doubt you can find the one with Kira and Lacus any more. The only ones you'll be able to find now is Role set 06 (Gil, Luna, Stellar, Cagalli Orb Commander look, Shinn, Stella's 2 cronnies, and umm.. Mask guy forgot his name.) The Kasumi is like... $60, 10 inches high and has not been released yet and its version 2 limited edition. Version one looks like this:

Exactly the same except it has the 2nd (more sexy) clothing. Both are more than $60 (thus me sacrificing 2 of my GSD models for one Kasumi.)

EDIT: Oh forgot to ask you guys, how long do you guys usually spend on your models? I rushed through them (bad move) so my time was:
Freedom - 5 hours
PG wing zero - 3 days
Meteor - It was so quick that you would think that it came preassembled in the package =[

One of the reasons why I only buy master grades now is because of the time needed for it and the outcome of the models.

Hmmm interesting... anyways, QUESTION!!!

Alright I ordered from Tisinc99.com and my first package came with everything except a preorder. Inside the box was a sheet of paper saying that the item (sesshomaru plush) would be shipped out at the end of June. I e-mailed them and all and they said that it was pushed back so around August, I e-mailed them some more and on August 12th I got the reply that they shipped the preorder a week before my e-mail was sent. Now I still haven't recieved the sesshomaru plush so I contacted my PayPal and sent a complaint. They said that there was not enough evidence and that I should try to resolve this issue with the seller. The thing is the seller has totally shut himself up because he hasnt replied to anything. I also ordered another item and preorder after receiving the e-mail saying that they already shipped my first preorder. Now that I can't contact them, nor will PayPal do anything, what should I do to settle this? Its only $12 but still thats $12 I could be using on something else and money is money. So yea anyone have a clue on what other things I can do to get my money back because i think this is BS. I'm kinda worrying about my newest order because they havent said a word since I paid them.

Yup one of the biggest difference between the normal grade Aile Strike and the MG one is the length of the "wing". Once you see the MG version you'll find that the normal version looks handicapped.

Yeah, I've been complaining about that for months. I mean they could have waited a couple more months and at least give us a 1/100 GOUF instead of ANOTHER ZAKU. Now their next one after Strike Freedom is a second 1/100 Force Impulse. Force Impulse was a unpopular to start with, and now they are selling a second one? The only differance (that I can see) is that it comes with the Sword Sillouette. I can get that from the 1/100 Sword Impulse, I don't need another Force.

Any news on a MG Strike Freedom i must have it....... if they make any from destiny the first will probley be Force Impulse sadly. Dont get me wrong its a cool suit but i rather Strike freedom come out instead.

i only like MG for a few reasons they have alot of detail i know not as much as PG but PG r very big and i dont have much room seeing how i have 1PG 1/60 27 MG1/100 14 HG 1/100 and 36 HG 1/144 scale models so lieki said MG cuz they r almost as cool but alot smaller so i can fit more all of those models which i stated r littered around countless shelves lol i think i made my pointi/expressions/face-icon-small-blush.gif

If you want a MG Strike Freedom but your only after the proportions and detail and you cant wait for a year, try buying a Cosmic Region S. Freedom. Unfortunately, its a lil smaller than a 1/144 i/expressions/face-icon-small-frown.gif . It'll be probably in next two months

oops sorry when I first looked at it, it looked like a 1/144 guess I was wrong. But how come his providence have a bluish gray which is different from what I see on the box. Did he color it like that? Cause I like the original color better.

Yup i coloured Providence differently from what it was supposed to be. Well it was an accident, rather. I was going to spray it when I realised I had run out of the gray colour it was supposed to be. Instead I used German gray and mixed a little here and a little there and that's what I got. : )

And SKII, I think you should reduce the size of your pics a little as I'm having problems viewing them without a horizontal scroll bar in my browser...... As for your destiny I feel that you've over done the markers a little. I think you're using a permanant gundam marker, 0.4 or above. You should try using a finer oil based gundam marker and use either a eraser or soft tissue to wipe away the excess. It should look finer and less jagged. That's how I did it for my Destiny and you can view the pics on the previous page.
